The only upside is my trucks paid for. If I was paying a car note of $700 a month and this gas is prob be in the market for another beater car. Not to mention I work from home so all these miles and fill ups are just leisure and pleasure rides.

Hate to get rid of it, but I found a brand new 2020 Civic Si without any markup on it so I got that and will just buy an older 2 door wrangler for fun. I want to say that of all the forums I've been on, y'all are great, most have an awesome sense of humor and are helpful and it's been a lot of fun reading through some of the threads that go on forever for no apparent reason. I'll come back and lurk here and there and I'll sell some stuff I tore off the Gladiator before I got rid of it,. like the sunder for hardtops, cable you need to program these trucks, etc.
I actually moved from 2018 civic si to Gladiator. Si transmission is hands down one of the best in the industry. Every time you shift is like loading a bolt action rifle :) Miss that car I’m eyeballing a new Integra as my next ride.

Yeah I love it but the rev hang is a little much on this one, can probably tune that down a little

I am fine paying more for gas for the gladiator. Although my BMW is more “gas efficient”, I drive it like an indy car as far as from a stop and running it in sport mode 100% of the time because…well…it is fun with a inline 6 turbo that has a launch mode and goes 0-60 in 4 seconds. As a result I end up losing about 70-90 miles off the tank and it only takes premium gas which is 50 cents a gallon more. LOL. Trading in the BMW for the gladiator is probably good for me!!!

My wife and I drive a Gladiator and a new Bronco. Both have 35s. And we live in California. Full take for both is over a $100 right now. Fortunately we both work from home and the Gladiator is paid off. bronco has two years left. We dropped the top on the Bronco yesterday and enjoyed every gas guzzling mile.

My 14 JKUR is worth about $35K I am told. A new JT would be about $70-75K when done and get about the same MPG. Really not sure it's worth $40K to do it. I got the issues on my JKUR all worked out and there are some new ones with the JT. Good to have that money in the bank for now. If there was a solid reason I would do it tomorrow.

This is key. No note and working remotely. I’m sure if situations were diff we would both be reassessing this. But with that said you will always find your way back home to your jeep family. You may leave but you’ll always be missing your family.

I traded (sold it on the side) my 95 Civic in for my Gladiator. No way in hell am I going back to a Civic. Smiles per miles. 36 mile commute round trip. I can go two weeks on a tank. Currently filling up that quarter tank at the end of the week. Plus just got my two Wavian diesel Jerry cans today. Find it cheaper hold onto it. Use it when I need it. Civic had 580k+ on it when I got rid of it.

What kind of civic? Si's and R's are a whole different animal. Especially the new ones. I liked working on 90s models though.

It's like when I had an STI and most folks still thought it was an Impreza. Which was kind of cool. Everyone would assume it got good gas mileage. It did not.
