Heading out Friday to pick up my Truck ? woot! I ultimately decided not to finance through Gupton because I was able to get a low rate from a local credit union. (update see below)

For those of you who are looking check out Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union. (Not affiliated just a really good experience so far.)

So scratch the Randolph Brooks recommendation. They have great rates and an easy qualification process.

That being said the funding process for out of state purchases is a bit ridiculous. They require the vehicle to be fully registered in Texas prior to payment of the loan. So that doesn't work when purchasing out of state. I informed them of the process during the application process so that would've been nice to know before hand. :swear:

I would've had to get the package Fedex from Gupton, take to the TX DMV and get the vehicle registered send it back to Gupton and wait for the funding check to be sent from RBFCU. You can finance through them if you are willing to jump through the backend hoops. I am not.

Working with Gupton for in house financing.

As you know from the other thread, I picked mine up on Saturday and went through Gupton. It was seamless. I do all of my banking with RBFCU and will refi through them once I've satisfied the obligation to Gupton.

I'll probably do the same...the rate was really good! They did confirm that I could refi once the title is finalized. I just wish I'd have been informed of that detail when I completed the application and spoke the advisor.

Yeah, I financed through Gupton myself. But made some changes only to go back to where I started which ate up another hour or so, otherwise it would have been a true in & out:facepalm: Looks like weather will be in your favor too! Safe journeys & enjoy your trip back in your new Kaaaar!!!:like:

Here you go…

I like your idea of a meetup from a page or two back. We should try to make that happen. I’m only an hour from Hidden Falls, that would work well if anyone is coming this direction.

Made it home with my Gladiator. Got to experience driving with a consistent wind of over 15 mph. New to Jeep, so I can appreciate the past comments in in context.

it seems like the top of my steering wheel was pointed at 12:30 for most of the trip to counter the wind… probably not literally but just to give you sense of the experience…

Anyhow, I had to get to Dallas on Saturday evening to enjoy my two grandkids together for the first time. They live in different cities and one is a newborn. Consequently, I didn’t stay long at Gupton‘s before jumping in the jeep and heading out.

I will post a picture as soon as I can. The trip was full of bugs so I need to get the jeep cleaned up.

Stopped in Memphis last night...woke up this am and saw this parked next to me. I guess the Jeeps parking next to each other is a real thing:like:
