Haha! You know Morgantown! Definitely uphill both ways but damn, 11.4 MPG!! Seems like something has to be wrong. I let it go to break in but I'm at 1,600 miles and no change.
I do. I grew up in Western MD, not terribly far from you. 1600 miles isn't a whole lot, so it might get better still, but on hills, it's just not that good in these. Knowing your terrain, and knowing the 3.6, I wouldn't expect a whole lot better.

They didn't name the WVU mascot the Moutnaineer for nothing. You're basically pulling a boat anchor uphill into the wind both ways

I have a 2021 Mojave and the only change from the factory that would affect mileage is swapping the wheels & tires to AEV Borah's with Cooper STT Pro's (315/70/r17).

I'm in the Texas Hill Country and right now mine varies between 18 mpg- 20mpg on the highway and 11mpg-13mpg in the city. Just checked and my avg combined with 1/2 a tank of gas is 17.2mpg.

Winds seem to play a HUGE factor with the higher front end and hood shape. This is my fifth jeep and this hood design looks great but seems to really hinder aerodynamics (like a jeep has much of that to begin with). I used a local brushless carwash when she isn't too dirty and when I hop on the highway and when I get home water beads are still present on the lower windshield and behind the hump where the fake intake is.

Driving into even the slightest wind I will notice a drop of 3-4mpgs. Taking a road trip down to the south Texas coast soon on flat roads so it will be interesting to see how the gas mileage is without hills...downside is the prevalent south wind this time of year will probably negate the flat road gain.

For me personally, I'm more than happy getting 17.2. Just my experience.

BTW I'm at about 2200 miles.

I have a Mojave and just got back from a longish trip. First tank from Atlanta to Savannah all highway 66mph the whole way on cruise control 20.8.

Coming home I was ready to be home 78mph savannah to Atlanta on cruise control 17.5.

As a Daily Driver it's 15-17

Unless it has stored codes in the computer, the dealer will tell you there is nothing they can do. You could ask them to check the transmission fluid level and put it back in learn mode to see if it helps.

Wait. Or move to a flatter area. Does your Jeep sit taller than your wife's Grand Cherokee? Notice the angle of your windshield and body compared to hers.

I was concerned about the low mileage fuel numbers as well. I recently sold my 285/70/17 Falken AT3w's and replaced them with 4 255/80/17 Falken ATA3W's. I gained nearly 2.5 miles to a gallon going from 15 to 17.5. I'll be posting pictures later this week as I am putting on the the AEV 2 inch lift. My summer tires are going to be the 35x10.50r17 Kendas.

Yea not moving anywhere flat. And yes its taller than the grand cherokee and yes the windshield is a different angle. But do those few factors warrant a 6-8 mpg difference especially when she has a HEMI????

In your conditions, the hemi would probably actually get better mpgs, if it's the 5.7. Wranglers and Gladiators are big heavy bricks with 0 aero profile. The 3.6 doesn't make much low end torque, which you need to climb and to push through wind. You'll get single digit mpgs uphill, and major losses into wind.

Stock I got 12 city on flat grounds. Bumper winch 37 and taser reprogram in Mojave I get 13 city now. My 2500 got more mpg but jeeps always suck MPG. Right now I’m 13 city and 15 highway. 10 In winter. But keep in mind we got 410 gears , rougher tires etc. still seems off from suggested MPG. It’s hard to believe I’m getting nearly the same MPG as a TRX 700HP monster truck
