I have a soft bed cover. Want to keep as much vertical space as possible in the bed.

Any suggestions for a low profile bed slide solution? Most seem to eat up a lot of vertical space.

Either manufactured or something I can build is fine.

Do the cargo glide and bedslide brands really take up that much vertical space?

Yes. When you are trying to fit a fridge under a tonneau they do anyway. Wouldn't be an issue if I had a cap.

I think I just need to build something with heavy duty drawer slides on the side instead of the bottom if I move ahead with it. I could have a box that pulls out that is not much higher than the thickness of the material used for the bottom.
