Thanks for the reply.

The way it looks in their instruction manual where the air intake filters is seemed to eliminate any foot room for that rear passenger, so I’m planning on building or buying a platform section. I don’t foresee anyone riding back there in mine anyway.
Here are some better pics and how I ended up cutting my floor mat. Hadn’t even considered rear passenger foot space. ??‍♂

Went from factory ride height to a the metacloak 3.5” true dual rate. Took me the better part of 8-9 hours total work time. Three hours Friday night, 9am to 4pm with an hour break in between. Worth it.

Yes, I really want to see that bolt after a few hours out in a mining district, or up around Big Bear. Or Moab, wherever it’s going to be used as a wheelie bar.
I’m guessing the bolt is the sacrificial part.
Curious as to how it holds up.
I was thinking the same thing.

tires are the 315/70R17 bfg ko2s.

i had the black rhino chambers on backorder for three months before i sprung for these. They were $202 a wheel when i got them.

I hated them once they got here, got them on the jeep and they looked so much better.
I was thinking the rock monsters had new competition as they look like the dual bead lock. As soon as I saw how reasonably priced they were I knew they weren’t. The Hutchison’s go for more than twice what you paid per wheel.

lol Yeah, my pavement princess doesnt need bead lockers. lol. I just needed new wheels for the new tires. The stock rims rubbed the lower control arm at full lock. Wife gave me a budget of X amount of dollars.

Sorry to disappoint. :(

Looked at the new CRACK in the windshield after my wife said "look, your windshield is cracked".
Then we both realized - so that's the big SMACK we heard the other day but never saw anything.
Whatever hit, hit smack in the middle of the ACC/FCW camera area, out of view from the inside....... until today, that is.
That's number two, and of course, after I've traded it for a 2022 if that ever arrives.
What cha have coming in Papa?

Finished up my Midlands MXT275 install today. I'm really thrilled with how it came out. An added bonus was using the USB C port for my MagSafe charger so there is now no visible cable from that and that outlet is free again. I went with a driver's side mount and it's secured with velcro. For mounting the mic I followed another member's example and mounted two rare earth magnets with adhesive behind the panel and one to the mic. The RJ45 pass through connector makes for easy connect/disconnect and a clean appearance when the mic isn't connected.

Another Overland in blue with a few more options.
Getting the automatic transfer case, and the aux switches as I've been thinking about wiring a winch solenoid to switches. It's not bad opening the hood to turn the cut-off switch, but it would be nice to not have to.

Nice! And congrats.

I was wondering you were opting for a max tow for the gearing.

Looking forward to you getting it.
I know your current Overland gets pretty good fuel economy but hopefully you get one tht gets the fuel economy like Jeeperjamie and not mine.

In other "news" - gathering up parts and pieces to do things better when transferring parts.
Will likely order some new bolts for the bumper, but decided to see how hard it would be to strip and prep some of the bolts and nuts that hold the ends on the steel bumper. I think they did cheap plating then painted the bolts originally.
I'm doing them in black zinc - we'll see how well they hold up. Should be fine. But - is it worth the work, or just buy new bolts and nuts from Benny for it.
Some of them are like new, not bad at all, no rust, just losing the black so maybe powdercoating........
Ignore the silver parts - those are alternator fan spacers I did in clear zinc while I had things going.
