Hi! Ex-Bronco Customer saying hello. Placed my Gladiator order yesterday! What accessories should I start to think about?

your build is almost IDENTICAL to what I had in mind. Those rims are perfect! How do you like the bed rack system?
Your 1st questions to @DocMike should have been; "how long did your build take?" And "how much $ have you invested?"
But really, skys the limit with your build, depending on if you want a pavement princess or if you are going off road, and what type of off-roading. DocMike has a beautiful rig, you have set your sights high. Enjoy the ride

I would say appropriate skid plates if you plan on off-roading. Beyond that, it’s really up to you:). I put a winch, bumper, and 35s on mine:)

Drive it for a while and see what you might want to change. Believe it or not there are people that are perfectly happy with their unmodded Gladiators.

One thing I will say is a must have out of the gate is some sort of dead pedal.
YEP, this is me exactly

I just had my 2 year JT anniversary....
I do not have a warden and I like to turn my own wrenches.
It will probably never be done.
I went through phases....
33s....Rubi takeoffs
then 35s...regear...lift
Wheeled a lot and learned a lot. It was my COVID project. I have 4 kids and my middle son loves ghost towns. Oldest is knocking out his ASE certs. We will run up a trail for lunch and back.
I'm prepping my axles for 37-38s at the moment.

You are right though.... I do have a lot of expensive stuff.
Just had this vision in my head and I am chasing it.
The people I have met and the adventures I have had in 2 years are priceless.

so i know all the Jeep Fanatics on here will tell you to keep drinking the KoolAid

However...you should spend some time with a Jeep a week if you can and see if its really the truck for everyday!

just my opinion!

Honestly, if it wasn't so hard to get one I absolutely would have gone for a bronco. But between the challenge of getting what I want, the pricing, and the fact that I was coming from a truck, the gladiator was an easy choice, honestly.

Love some of the suggestions in this thread, btw...lots of people throwing out some pretty wild build ideas right out of the gate lol. I agree with the sentiment of starting slow and going for those QOL things first, then gradually figure out what direction to go as you go along. For me, it was bed liner, bed cover, floor liners, and sun shades right away.

Awesome, really appreciate the responses guys! The Jeep community is great and I can't wait to create a build journal. Loads and loads of ideas now.

Lots of reading material here for me, thanks for taking the time to respond everyone.

Greetings! For those of you who hang around the Bronco6G forums, you may have seen me posting regularly, sharing in the mass frustration of the reservation debacle.

But since Ford dropped the ball hard and couldn't be bothered to care about me as a customer, I went back. I was always coming back.

SO! Super stoked on my Gobi Rubi-Gladiator and it's my first Jeep in 10 years since I sold my beloved Wrangler. What first mods would you all recommend? I am going for a Military "Iraqi" inspired Humvee look. 35's and a bed rack system is all I have in mind so far.

Thanks! Happy to be here.

First off, buy a large bottle of Listerine and wash the taste of Ford out of your mouth.

Why'd you purchase a Gladiator and not a Wrangler?

I agree. 2.5in lift and 37s is pretty much the perfect balance of DD and wheeler.
Though I have watch a stock JTRD hang. It just scrapes more.

You're going to want 37s, not 35s. Ask me how I know

I bailed as well on my Bronco order. I was originally wanting a Gladiator then caught Bronco fever. The thing that really sealed the deal was realizing I really wanted and needed a truck. Then...after all of the QC issues and V6 valves dropping I was out. Went back to the Gladiator I wanted originally. I'm glad I did.

My story follows @Shopshirt almost exactly:

I bailed as well on my Bronco order. I was originally wanting a Gladiator then caught Bronco fever. The thing that really sealed the deal was realizing I really wanted and needed a truck. Then...after all of the QC issues and V6 valves dropping I was out. Went back to the Gladiator I wanted originally. I'm glad I did.
I was all in for the Gladiator when it was first revealed... but my circumstances were such that I really didn't need a new expensive truck at the time (due to an existing lease). So when the Bronco was revealed, I caught the bug and bought in, understanding that I would lose the 'truck' aspect of the vehicle once it was delivered.

Now, my wife and I are in a position to enjoy life a bit more. Tow a nice RV, get a nice dog and maybe a kayak or two... y'know, truck stuff ;) I feel like the Gladiator offers everything I need, over and above the Bronco. Love the wranglers, but I like doing truck stuff.
