No snow, but really enjoyed the OBX with no crowds during winter. There were good stretches where we had it all to ourselves.

Nice. I got a snow blower just after our last storm last winter. Hoping that we get enough snow this winter to try it out, but not so much that we end up without power for days.

I got a 30 AMP generator plug installed, so we can run most of the house, but will be without the HVAC (have a wood stove for backup heat though).
I live in the wind tunnel of the Inland Empire area of So Cal and no snow unless we go up the mountain, but we do get the hellish Santa Ana Winds which will kill the power. We just bought and had installed a permanent Generac 22KW Generator. It has activated twice since install and the switching time is less than 5 seconds and the power is equal to what we had on the hard connect with So Cal Edison. Lots of bucks but well worth it.

After a week of hard rain, freezing rain and snow 4WD is the only way to make it up our driveway. I made it this far before she would go no further in 2Hi. Private road, no plows. Luckily it is gravel underneath. The neighbor has a subaru and gets stuck.

This is such an interesting state weather-wise. I live on the Olympic Peninsula and from one town to the next or a few hundred feet of elevation difference can totally change the weather. My spot is about 700' ASL and we'll have a few inches then drive down to town at sea level and the ground is bare and it's 5* warmer. Drive up the road to 2,000' ASL and there will be feet of snow.

Looks like the NF?

This was out by Cinebar WA, NF-71 right off hwy 508. Amazing views of Mt. St. Helens and Mt Adams, couple lakes to be found. Plwnty of snow. Closest trail system to home, I can be found out there on slow weekends.
