Thank you! And you are seeing the exact reason I decided to build my own. Granted, some of the options are impressive, but I have yet to see one that makes me say "damn, that looks good" in terms of fitting the body lines of the Jeep, especially with the soft top models. Mine is far from perfect, but I think it will work for my needs. I'm anxious to get working on the interior next.Super impressed with this build! Great job. Wish I could have the skills to create that!
I've been looking at caps and MAN, are they expensive for what they are!
Thank you! I used a heavy twisted wire wheel to scuff the entire surface, then wiped the entire thing with Acetone. I have a small torpedo heater underneath keeping the metal warm throughout the process to hopefully aid with adhesion.Amazing work! Careful with the bedliner sticking to the aluminum...what did you do for prep?
Looks great. What a project to be proud of.It's on!
Which softopper do you have?I guess I can put my tonneau cover and Softopper up for sale now, lol!
Someone will love that. I have the fas-top. Also have the screen option. It's the Softopper branded model. I have the screened back window for it as well.
I was actually going to go that route before I decided to build an entire cap, except in reverse because I had the top and not the roof rack. I have it on the Marketplace for $600 but I would do $500 for a forum member.I do like that topper, wondering if I could make it work with my Rack, if I were to push it outboard, and increase the height .
What are you thinking about asking for it?
