Ugh, I don’t want to make a list, bc that will make me depressed, but let’s say I’ve been through 3 antenna’s, 3 sets of running boards, and 3 sets of tires. Soon to be on my 3rd suspension upgrade. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hello,
I was wondering what length shock you recommend for your leveling kit? When I look at your bill of materials, it states that the springs are 2.5”, maybe I’m misunderstanding that? Just wondering if you recommend 0-1.5” shocks or 2”-3” shocks.
Thanks!
This chart seems way off, compared to the other charts out there...this is basically saying with 3.73 gears at 32's, it's still undergeared coming from the factory. What people need to pay attention to when regearing is effective gear ratio..
Someone might’ve mentioned this and the most budget friendly option is to find some Rubicon take-offs. I have a guy who works for AEV and always has Falken Wildpeaks for dirt cheap ($900), comes with tires and wheels. However, they are 33”. If you want to do 35’s, the Toyo AT3’s at 11.5 width...
Just build your own. I bought an overland because i wanted leather, 8.4” screen, cold weather group and LED package, plus I’m putting the Mopar 2” lift, already have 35’s, and regearing soon. I live in michigan so I’ll only see trails.
Yea I’ve watched the video and browsed their website. That’s where I got the chart from, however he does contradict himself. He says in the video he recommends 4:56 on 35’s, but their chart says 4:88’s for 35’s. So again, still no clear cut answer which gear ratio is the best for 35’s. Lol
I think chart is saying, if you're going to spend the money on regearing with a 35" tire, your money will go further by going to 4:88's..in the off-chance upgrading to 37's you'd be fine too.
The only issue is really 7th and 8th on the highway. I hit 8th quite frequently but the slightest incline I drop to 7th. The Rpm’s drop harshly, when going from 8th to 7th. Here is the RPM’si” in 8th at 68mph
Do you travel highway at all? I’m on 3.73’s with 35’s and I’m getting about 18.5mpg combined. It seems like most people who haven’t regeared have worst MPG than me before the swap. Maybe my situation isn’t as bad as I think, lol!
