Wow, I've never gone through insurance to have one replaced. It only cost me $350 to have someone come to my house and do it. It wasn't gorilla glass but its lasted a year now with no chips and in CO that's pretty good.
So.... cheaper just to get another windshield. Or is the film you something you likely won't have to replace? I guess if it at least doubles the life it would be worth it. How does the film deal with the friction of wipers going across it constantly?
I don't think a lift kit is the "best" answer. The issue is the shocks and shocks alone. All springs are bouncy, they are only there to support weight, not control it. And tire pressure was explained by ShadowsPapa pretty well, so that won't solve it either. The best answer is ditch the factory...
Since it's plastic, maybe you could roughly chisel some flat sides on it again and find a socket to fit. Or heat a slightly smaller socket and push it down on there. Either way you would have to replace it but I'm just throwing some ideas out there.
My understanding is that they are more useful on forced induction engines ( I have one on my evo 9) and direction injection motors. DI engines don't have the benefit of fuel washing over the valves to help keep them clean. But I would say removing any amount of oil vapor from the intake charge...
I have had the whole set on for about week now and I would say it's a definite improvement. Less body roll and more controlled rebound dampening. They are stiffer overall than the Fox's but in a good way. I know ride characteristics are always subjective but I prefer the way it handles now.
I have both. The SxS (2016 Wolverine R-Spec) can still get to places that the Gladiator can't. Plus it can move along the same trails a little bit faster with a little less worry about breaking something.

The front pair actually came in today and I put them on. Still waiting for the rear. So far I immediately noticed the back ends tendency to bounce when backing off my driveway. The front end dips once and stays put. They are stiffer, but I feel they handle the sharp imperfections (jolts) in the...
I agree, I don't like the bouncy ride with the factory Fox shocks. All springs are bouncy, they are only there to support weight, shocks are what dampen that motion. I just ordered some Bilsteins which I think will help quite a bit. I had the same issue on my AT4 with the ranchos, I swapped...
Just messing with him. Well.... sort of. I had that motor in a Ram 1500 and thought all the bad talk and fires was just hype and people exaggerating, then it happened to me too. So my advice to anyone with the Eco diesel is to try not to worry too much, enjoy the mpg, but keep an extinguisher...
