I just installed the the JTRD front springs on my JTR. And even though I didn't measure before I put them on, it doesn't look like as much front sag. They are rated to hold the additional weight of the diesel motor.
I have an Adventure Tool Roll shop roll

It's worked out pretty well organizing all my hand tools. Although it is wearing out a bit in the corners, and the waxed canvas has a funny smell. It sits in the truck bed. I'm thinking of...
Nice! I like the versatility of taking the step off when not needed. I can't weld or making of this but I know people who can. I like the idea of using the exiting rock rails too.
I like those. I have a Sting Ray, so similar color and those look nice on that color.
Any issues with rubbing when fully flexed? Also did you use the stock lugnuts?
Right now I have a stock JTR on 33s, and looking to get 35s when these wear out, which will be soon. I'm also on stock suspension, although I do have JTRD front springs(long story) with no interest in lifting. fwiw, I think the diesel springs have less sag in front from the steel bumper and...
I'm getting close to wearing out the stock MTs on my JTR and will most likely go up to 35s. Aesthetically I think it looks great on the stock suspension, but also on the practical side, I don't really need anything bigger for where I drive it. 33s have gotten me just about everywhere I've wanted...
I do the same, except I've run Anderson Connectors to the battery and out to the bumper, and set-up the compressor with Anderson Connectors, so I don't even have to pop the hood to get power.
In case anyone else is wondering and looks this up, the diesel springs are on the gasser. They seem to work fine. Driving it home 60 miles on the highway, it seemed to dip a little less on some sections of road that I’ve definitely felt in the past. Haven’t gone off-road with them yet but I...
I do have the OEM steel bumper and winch. I was thinking it might reduce the front sag a bit.
I’m also adding a pop-up camper which will add to the overall weight.
Any thoughts on replacing the front springs on a JTR with springs from a JTRD?
I was hit by another driver and it wrecked one side of my front suspension and I need to replace that spring. I have access to the diesel front springs but getting the gasser springs has been a challenge.
Did you do this? I think the only difference in suspension components are the springs. The shocks I believe are the same. I was thinking this same thing because I got some parts from a buddy with a JTRD and using the control arms and one shock on my JTR. I was hit by another vehicle and it's...
i just wanted to provide the OP with information about ess, and not blindly believe they are damaging their vehicle via ess, when there’s no proof or risk that they really are with modern engines. That’s being rational.
Also saying someone is a shade tree mechanic is not emotional or...
this logic about ESS causing premature wear is pretty dated and based on old technologies. So I thought I’d give you a rational example of that.
im not a motor designer or engineer but this guy probably is. I’ll believe him vs. a shade tree/forum mechanic.
“Practical Motoring spoke with the...
