  1. 37 inch Tire Weight (by brand)

Spot on! I live in N.E. Ohio, we have hills, not mountains, and we are approximately 1100ft above sea level and the 4:10 auto with 37” tires is ok for DD use. May not be great for heavy towing but fuel mileage recovery will be hard to financially justify through regearing. That said, I want...
  2. For those new to LED bulbs

It amazes me how improperly aimed a lot of Jeep light are, even OEM LEDs in stock Jeeps. Being in a lifted Gladiator on 37s, I’d expect to be impacted less than a standard car, but man, some of these LEDs still blind me. I could not imagine being in a car..... I’m sure these other vehicles...
  3. Opinions on tire weight

If looking at the Pats, don’t go “black label”, I think they are a softer compound for rock crawling and you will PAY for them. I think Northridge4x4 has them in 37” for over $400 a tire and I’m suspecting they won’t last long on the road.
  4. Opinions on tire weight

No doubt, I have plenty of room!
  5. Opinions on tire weight

I just went out and looked, they are probably 36.1 to 36.2”. It’s over 36 but not a lot....maybe I set the Tazer 36.1x, I don’t recall. Either way my Speedo is spot on with GPS.... it’s over 36 regardless.... Tread looks good with only 3500 on them... You can see that feint yellow line...
  6. Opinions on tire weight

I’m pretty sure I measured them and set the Tazer to 36.23” mounted and weight on the truck. They are just over 36” mounted with weight on them. With the Rubicon highline fenders I would have been ok going with 38x13.5 but they were almost $150/tire more.
  7. Opinions on tire weight

There may be people here who think I am 100% full of it but from my actual real life experience, I like them. I’ve used Mastercraft Courser MXTs, Duratracs, Goodyear MTRs, and the Patagonia’s, and I like the Pats the best for all around use. I had BFGs as an OEM tire on my ZR2 years ago and...
  8. Opinions on tire weight

Look at reviews, I think you will be hard pressed to find the “terrible” experience with them unless someone is looking to just blame the tire. Even my non-jeep wife notices how quiet they are compared to the Goodyear MTRs I was running (and we thought they were quiet). MTRs are probably a...
  9. Nail in Tire - Opinions?

Not sure where you live but see if you can find a place that does tractor tire repair. That is NOTING for them to fix and you won’t have another issue with it. I mounted a set of Goodyear MTRs and didn’t even make it home and picked up an easy out through the center (nice brand new easy out)...
  10. Opinions on tire weight

I also do t think that the 37 feels bad at all with the 4:10 gearing, I still get 17-18 mpg in NE Ohio highway driving, sometimes better, sometimes worse. Mixed and town driving is where is see the biggest loss but it’s what I signed up for in going 37” w/o a regear. I’ve not pulled anything...
  11. Amber Driving lights! Yes Please!

oh, you could be 100% right, I just don’t recall since I went with a Tazer almost immediately and disabled some DRL lighting right away. I don’t recall “fog light” DRL being one...
  12. Opinions on tire weight

i think I have about 3500 miles on them....this pic is only a few weeks old. I absolutely can’t complain about them for the price. Are you getting all 5 for $915??? That is a killer deal if it is, even if it’s not.
  13. Opinions on tire weight

they look good too.... That is a stock Willys with the OEM MTs on it (for comparison). I’m on a 2.5” Clayton lift with Fox 2.0 shocks.
  14. Opinions on tire weight

I really like my Patagonia MT in 37s. I run that size at full psi, roughly 35-37, and they actually do very well. They are a hybrid so kind of get on road performance of an AT and can air down to take advantage of the outer MT lugs if needed. They are super quiet for an MT and are...
  15. Amber Driving lights! Yes Please!

My fog lights do not have halos that I’m aware of and they definitely aren’t on during the day as DRLs..... Maybe its because I’m running a tazer and have the Fender DRLs turned off? I don’t recall seeing my fog lights on in any capacity anytime unless turned on at night.
  16. Did you buy your JT because of the bed or for towing???

Because of the bed, it offered by best of the Wrangler and truck (bed) world! Towing was a 3rd reason but is a great reason on its own! It really is the triple threat of the Jeep world!
  17. Amber Driving lights! Yes Please!

So I ordered the SS3 Max SAE Yellow fog light kit for my Gladiator this evening. A shop on Amazon had them with free shipping and 15% off coupon. I’m supposed to have them on the 2/23 but not sure I’ll be able to install them at that time. I am running a Rugged Ridge Arcus bumper and...
  18. Amber Driving lights! Yes Please!

The fog lights do not come into play with the DRLs that I’m aware of? Or are you asking if they will be “full on” when the headlights auto enable when it gets dark enough?
  19. COVID VACCINE

Exactly right. It’s not a vaccine, it’s teaching your body to fight it properly so you don’t experience anything beyond maybe minor symptoms. But, a metric on this pandemic that will never be captured is the damage done due to lack of care. Some are obvious but most impacts will be overlooked...
  20. Goodbye Gladiator

Haha, my 9 year old daughter would ask mommy to find a new daddy, one with a Jeep. I think it nearly killed her for me to get rid of the Wrangler JKU for the Gladiator but now she is a Gladiator girl, not a Wrangler girl. It took over as her new favorite Jeep.
