Most of the missing gap at the front in this pic looks to be the seal filling in. I don’t have that seal on my 2020, but will have to look at the gap from front to back in the AM. It also could be the angle of the picture making the gap look like it is shrinking.

Did you take the oil sample after you changed the oil or did you get a sample handed to you from someone else who did the oil change? Hard to tell if there was contamination in the drain pan or not… unrelated to the oil that came out of your engine.
