  1. Leitner Rack, Decked, and Smokey Bear

Thanks @theDECKEDguy I’m looking for between the top of Decked and the bottom of the Leitner rails to see if Leitner is going to work for me or not.
  2. Rock Slide Engineering Spy Photos

Awesome! The only think I wish it had was a longer step so the wife can reach in the bed. I’m assuming the top of the step is pretty sturdy? Will I be able to stand on the end near the rear tire and reach the top of a bed rack/cap for instance?
  3. Leitner Rack, Decked, and Smokey Bear

Awesome! Can you tell me the measurement between the top of the Decked, and the bottom of the front-rear rails? And also the distance between the bottom of the front-rear rails and the top of the cross rails?
  4. Canopies

I haven’t run any awnings, so my opinion isn’t worth a lot really, but.... We’ve camped forever. It’s what we do. We’ve always had regular tents. And I can tell you that setting up a tent always sucks. The idea of setting up an awning or shade or whatever makes me really unhappy. That all...
  5. Canopies

With GoFast you’ll have a door opening upwards to cover your tailgate, at least mostly. Positioning might be key, in making sure the back wing swings out over the back of whatever it’s on top of. I think the Alu-cab have some sort of gutter system at the edge of the back “wing” to help with...
  6. Canopies

Those look pretty awesome. There’s a few others on the market with various different features. Alu-cab is another freestanding version made from aluminum. Darche eclipse is another, but seems hard to find recently. There’s also several non freestanding versions. Overland Pros come in at a very...
  7. Bobs BoxTop Camper

The suspense is killing me Bob.
  8. Neon Gladiator & Mojito Jeep

I honestly thought it was going to look stupid, but it turned out really nice. I’d love to see it in person. Your dad really killed it with the pinstripes. I think that really tied it all together.
  9. Where have you been all my life, Gladys?

Very VW GTI-esque. I dig it.
  10. Air Compressors

I hadn’t thought about that aspect, thanks for that perspective. I’ll have to do a little research on the tank.
  11. Air Compressors

I’m really curious how loud the under seat mounts are. I have a cheap Smittybilt pump now, and it’s super loud. I couldn’t find a dB rating for it, but I know I’d never want it inside a vehicle. My kids will be in the back and I’d hate to scare the crap out of them whenever I turn the thing on...
  12. Still no rear tire carrier?!

I really like Expedition One’s latch system. So I’m hoping they'll make a dual swing bumper for the JT soon.
  13. Diesel Gladiator release?

I think one of the assumptions a lot of us are making is that the JL/JT will get a lower output motor due to lack of frontal area for the larger intercooler they’re supposedly putting on the Ram. Likely it’ll still be the upgraded motor but with a lower output. All speculation right now though.
  14. Anyone building (planning) to build a Jeep Wayout?

Those look really nice. They’re coming out with a shorter version for short beds like ours. Last Line of Defense on YouTube is testing it on his channel.
  15. Anyone building (planning) to build a Jeep Wayout?

@WhatExit? which hardshell tent are you looking to use? The only one I’m aware of that won’t overhang the bed is the iKamper for short beds that isn’t out yet. It’s a hard shell but folds out like a regular soft RTT in order to get a big enough sleep platform. I’d love to hear of other options...
  16. Additional cup holders?

Someone just posted this too, but I doubt it’d hold a 32 oz anything. Looking for phone holder
  17. Additional cup holders?

Blue Ridge Overland Gear comes to mind. They make several different sized bottle holders that attach via Molle. Strap one to the side or back of your passenger seat and you’re set.
  18. The “Red Queen” -build and journey

https://www.dirtylifewheels.com/9303-mb-dt1 Looks like DT1’s. 17x9, looks like offset options are -12 or -38, and that looks more like -12 to me on the Queen.
  19. JP's Super-Duper-Gladiator Build Thread

I saw a post on one of the 4WD blogs where a guy did the same thing you’re talking about with some Baja Designs lights. He found some brackets that worked without having to fab anything fancy. I don’t remember where I saw it but maybe a search will help you find it if you’re still going that...
  20. Where will you attach a CB antenna?

Prior plan given to trusted friends or family is a good idea. Garmin inReach is a great tool if you don’t mind paying a monthly fee. Spot is another option. Ham is good for reaching long distances and there’s databases of repeaters in nearly any location you’re looking to go. The community...
