Thank you for the quick review. I plan to mount my ham mic on the ball, on a Jeep Uniq Mount. I had briefly considered getting a 2nd ball for the far right side for my wife to use, so this is helpful. I’ll just grab another 67 designs for her then.
Yep. https://www.carolinametalmasters.com/products/jl-grab-bar-ball-mount
My plan is the Vector bar (original style), 67 designs arms, Jeep Uniq for radios (one on the grab bar and one on the CMM grab bar ball replacement thing).
I certainly wouldn’t rush out and buy any new cables. Even my GoPro has a USB-C to USB-A. I typically use my MacBook charger cable though because then I’m only carrying one cable (it’s C to C).
They’re faster, both charging and data transfer. What I don’t know though is what power the gladiator...
I think eventually that might be the case. Cables tend to change pretty frequently, but USB-A has been a standard for a very long time though. I think with NFC and wireless charging, cords are eventually going to go away completely. In the interim, USB-C makes a lot of a sense, but USB-A won’t...
A lot of newer, particularly Android, phones are coming with USB-C ports. It’s a much better port than USB-A (the standard rectangle), because it’s reversible, carries more power, and has a higher transfer rate. There’s also been several rumors that next gen iPhones will ditch the lightning...
The XOverland guys have a rack on their roof. It’s a prototype for now I think. It uses the gutters so I’m not sure it’ll hold a RTT. You would need something like the Gobi exo cage to be able to remove your panels.
@steffen707 the measurements are on leitners website. It is NOT wide enough for a full sheet. They do sell clamp things you can put on the cross bars to haul lumber on top of the rack.
I just watched an Alex on Autos review of the Ram ecoDiesel, and he said it’s going to be less expensive than the options from GM.
Car and Driver said it was a $2495 option over the V6. If you look at an LTZ or High Country Silverado, that’s accurate over the 5.3L and 8-speed (no V6...
Oh yeah that’s a big dog!
I was just watching a nuthouse video, and I’d be willing to bet they’d be able to make you something. They’ve got me second guessing my current plans.
That looks like a legit crate.
I’m planning to run a Gunner crate - https://gunner.com/products/g1-intermediate-dog-crate bolted down to the Decked system. It’s going to be a tight fit but should *just* fit next to a tilting fridge slide in between the Leitner rack rails at the back. The door...
They were providing you tonneau cover options that might work and be available eventually. Is there something else you meant by having it covered? If you’re looking for like a soft topper to go on top of or inside your rack, you’ll likely need to go custom.
Alright so I see a lot of mention of tuning these things, both to increase power and fuel economy. I’ve also seen mention of bypassing emissions systems.
What I can’t seem to find is what exactly is being bypassed, and what the side effects are. I’ve seen the DPF delete pipes and tunes, and...
I plan to put my radio head on a vector dash bar, but I’m sure there will be other gadgets I need to mount somewhere like what you’ve got going. I was trying to figure out if I could make a little box with a ram ball to put the G on the vector bar too. I like your idea better. Haha
There are a few options out for center console safes.

I’m looking at what would fit under the rear seat. Can anybody measure the storage box that comes with the trail rail package, or just the free space underneath the rear seat?
I’ll probably be going KISS with Trail Ready BL’s. They’re light and come in lots of offset options.
Probably just going with all machined look depending on what color I get for the Jeep.
