Those other manufacturer approvals don't mean anything. Just because one oil may share all but the MS-12991 spec with another doesn't automatically mean that it's good enough. You may as well just compare the SN spec, which Rotella and Castrol both meet.

By that argument, you can just throw Rotella in it.

He's got a diesel in his signature. 38s on the diesel without a regear is probably similar to 35s on the gasser without a regear.

Do you have the 3.6 or the 3.0 diesel? If the gasser, it’ll give you more lift, but you’ll run into rubbing issues if you go 35s and keep stock wheels.

The owner's manual mentions every 10,000 miles to drain it. FWIW, I haven't drained mine, nor has my SO's father who has a Gen 2 with over 100,000 miles.

After installing 35s and Mopar 2" lift in mine, I hardly noticed a hit to the power or MPGs... YMMV of course, but I would go for it. Now I'm just dealing with some death wobble... lol
