This box protrudes down below the battery tray, it appears to have some sort of foam baffling inside with a drain hole? It feels solid when I knock on it. Any ideas?

Its diesel specific for sure.

Some more context. Ordered a set of falcon 3.1 piggy-backs. After some runaround and apologies about their site being in transition with no mention of incompatibility on diesel, I’m in a tough spot.

Here is the page. Notice no mention of incompatibility.

https://www.falconshocks.com/3-1-piggyback-shocks

Astonishingly Falcon is taking the position that their hands are tied. They responded and said they offer a diesel specific setup but it’s on back order. The other 3 went in flawlessly.

FWIW for those considering Falcons, I’ve ran King and Fox and never had an issue getting a human on the phone (5 unreturned calls, all communication has been email) and sure as heck King would manifest a new set and shipped instantly if their site misrepresented compatibility. Fox, maybe not, but they have it together with regard to the accuracy of their public facing content.

Falcon on the other hand wants me to package them all back up and ship them back, at which point I wait on a list. No refund on good faith or sending me a set of basic non-resi 2.1 which would certainly fit. Big teraflex trying to portray small fanatical enthusiast via sister brand but same CS.

If anyone with a gasser wants them for 1k come grab them. At this point it’s worth the $600 loss to me to not run their gear. They are literally 48 hours old.

in the meantime I’m wondering if i can trim or relo this box. Thoughts?

K the aux battery. Evo makes a stand-alone relo kit for the aux battery as a complimentary part for their coil over conversion kit. May be light at the end of the tunnel after all.

Zero issues on all other corners which made the block on the passengers side pretty rough to accept. Regardless if I had 2M posts, when you go to Falcon’s site and see no issues, why would I think they could possibly have been in some content transition and missed it know what I mean?

From Falcon “Unfortunately our Falcon website is going through some changes and those needed notes have not been updated yet.”

The needed notes being diesel is a no go. He then sent me a link buried on the parent teraflex sight which clearly stated diesels aren’t supported. Problem is, that’s the legacy falcon content that isn’t publicly promoted or even indexed and ranked by search engines. If it were rough country or eBay clone crap sure, I’d scour the tubes and forums and see what worked and what doesn’t but part of $1,600 gear should be accurate pre-sale content for sure.

I’m determined now though so that last one will be on soon. If the aux battery can be relocated to the other side of the well as is the case with the EVO piece, it can be relo’d to beneath the rear seat and if I sacrifice auto start/stop, it can be wired as a backup.

PIc of drivers & rear attached, I’ve since mounted the stock one back so I’m not down, drove around a bit. MUCH improved despite being gimped on the passenger corner.

Interesting, I've thought about upgrading to better shocks, but didn't know they made a specific kit for just the EcoDiesel.
With my RTT, rack, wheels & 35” tires the rear stockers would become spent after 20 minutes on the street to the point where my bed would start wallowing around. Toast on the trails almost instantly. Even the 3 that are one with 1 stock is an immense improvement.

I can’t find anything on their diesel kit but here was my original inquiry and response.

What’s the reasoning for them to have the res come off in a 90 anyways?

Not sure but it’s a slick setup, no resi line to get bound up nor brackets to loosen over time and I have to imagine flow is immensely improved, that plus it’s very robust. I pulled it out of the box and immediately battle axe swung it then hung it on my shoulder like Thor until I saw my wife saw me wondering wtf is wrong with me : ) I’m old too, it’s just that robust and massive. You gotta swing it at least once, it’s that badass.

Are you sure that’s the Auxiliary Battery? That wouldn’t be diesel-specific; you’d think the Falcon shocks would also have trouble with gas Gladiators.
And I thought the Aux. battery was under the PDC.

Kevin.

Kevin.

On the gasser it is, on diesel it’s smack below the existing battery. This is all brand new info to me but multiple legit sources including that diesel specific relo bracket, the instructions elude to positioning and that’s exactly the bolts I’m seeing although that pick is post box removal.
