Yeah, that would be crazy. On the Rubicon, the big screen + Alpine only costs $1,420 at invoice. That's a pretty good deal, IMO. $3,800 just to get it would definitely be a bridge too far.
I'm curious to see which Rubicon dash color comes with Punk'n Orange. The Gladiator configurator shows the red dash for Punk'n Rubis, which is certainly bold with the orange exterior. On the JL, however, Punk'n results in a silver dash. I suspect the configurator is wrong, and us Punk'nheads...
LOL. I could understand someone saying "I bought a Colorado ZR2 instead," or something along those lines. But the Ridgeline was a head scratcher for sure. They are as far as you can get from a Gladiator while still being a (sort of) pickup.
Correct. They agree on a price they'll pay you for your trade 2-3 months into the future. If the condition of the trade changes materially, then the deal would be off. Otherwise, they just account for the expected extra mileage and condition at the time of actual trade. It's easy. If a...
You agree on a trade-in value while negotiating the special order. There's no great magic to it. It feels like maybe the dealer shouldn't do it, but this is the second time I've worked a special order this way.
Outstanding write-up. Jeep's fascination with nutzerts sucks. I"m not in the market for this because I plan to install a hard tonneau cover, but I can certainly see its usefulness.
Same here. Ordered 7/19. Got a VIN and D status 7/23. 6MT, black hardtop and black fenders. I did order the Trail Cam, so hopefully that doesn’t hold anything up. No bedliner.
The new Corvette looks amazing (and cheaper than some Gladiators!). But Chevy is certainly pulling out all the stops for the options sheet.

Apparently, buyers will be able to customize the last five digits of the...
I overland quite a bit in my JKUR. A buddy of mine has a modified 4Runner and he has never had to skip anything the Jeeps have done, including the Maze District of Utah. Articulation is definitely worse on the 4Runner. He'll have a tire in the air more often than the rest of us. But I have...

Aside from their distinct personalities and different cargo layouts, what truly separate the Jeep Gladiator and the Toyota 4Runner are the intangibles. The 4Runner...
Ordered last Friday. Checked today (for the first time) and I have a VIN. Skipped the bedliner, speaker, and painted hardtop/fenders. Hoping for a smooth and quick build.
Noooo! If the Trail Cam has gone 404 then I'm out. I don't care about the hard top or headliner, and I can install the steel bumper myself. But the Trail Cam would be a deal killer for me.
