With a loaded bed, about 600 lbs, I noticed very little sag. Added a 2,000 lb trailer and it sagged a lot. There is a difference between having the weight above the rear axle vs. behind it on the bumper. I run Rockhard aluminum bumpers front and rear and the AEV Mojave spacer lift. I routinely...
Today we took a group of volunteers up to work on a trail that is used for the High Lonesome 100 mile race that is in a couple of weeks. Yes, they run through the mountains for a 100 mile, much of it above tree line. Since there were no bushes or trees that high, I set up my private bathroom...
Not that this is the most scientific of tests, but this morning driving to the Trail I didn't think I noticed any difference on the highway. On the way home I realized I was cruising at 75mph and the volume was set at 10. Normally I drove around town at that volume and need to turn it up to 12...
I ordered a Boom Mat roof liner/acoustic panel system from Predator 4 Wheel-Drive here is Colorado Springs and during the installation I messed up one of the panels. I contacted the company, and they shipped me out a new panel at no charge and it just arrived today. I consider that great...
Depends on where you live? Here in Colorado you can get by with 37" tires and 4.88 gears if you're not towing or carrying a lot of extra weight, otherwise 5.13 or even 5.38's would be my choice. One other consideration are your brakes. More unsprung weight means more rolling mass so just as it...
My '21 Mojave is happiest at 55-65 where I can see 18 - 19mpg, if I try to run 75 I'm lucky to see 15mpg. Pretty sure the EPA Mileage test is done on level ground at 55mph in a bone stock Gladiator Sport 😉
I just did an oil change in my '21 Mojave and used Amzoil for the first time and after adding 5 quarts and running it for 30 minutes around town I pulled the dip stick and it was low about 1/3 of a quarter. Never happened before, but I was using a different brand previously. Just thought it was odd.
It was a cute story so I wasn't trying to throw shade on it, but like where the name Jeep came from or the origin of the Wave, there are facts, legends and myths, but they all make for great stories.
Switzerland Jeep Tours does Black Bear in a modified Ram 3500 with a platform that holds 12 people in the back, go slow and you'll be fine, assuming Black Bear opens this year.
They are all about the same, I use Thor's Lightning and carry their set in both my Jeeps. I went with Thors mostly because they are here in Colorado and they are big supporters of the 4x4 community here. In my Gladiator I have my ARB twin mounted under the front passenger seat and wired to my...
