  1. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

We used to do exercises like say a medium performance generic 454 Chevy big block makes 600 hp at 5500 RPM. A 377 Chevy SB makes the same 600 hp at 7500 RPM. Who is faster? The 377 will run far away from that big block because it makes it's horsepower much faster.

Also @Zachanadandy I'm not saying I'm some Jeep engine expert and you're wrong or I'm right or anything. But I have machined and built many many many very high horsepower engines in all makes and shapes and sizes and dyno tested them on actual engine dynos. I've seen them scream, I've seen them...
  3. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

Yeah, it's a pig. I've looked at thousands of dyno graphs. That one you posted is all about hitting a number and nothing else. That engine falls on it's face really fast. If you can stay at one specific RPM forever then that graph is awesome. Now, is it better than a stock naturally aspirated...
  4. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

I agree. Horsepower is torque x RPM/5252. If you want more power you need to shift torque higher into the RPM range and spin more RPMs. That's how tiny F1 engines make 800+ hp - they spin 18k RPMs. Cam timing, and most importantly - the intake valve closing point - is a good way to achieve this...
  5. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

That's not really useful "power". And I'm not saying it's impossible. There are always exceptions and examples that defy common tactics for torque vs horsepower. I've dyno'd them all. But physics and math don't lie. Neither does that graph. And an engine peaking at 3k and then runs out of air...
  6. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

Technically, there's no such thing as "low rpm power". Low rpm stuff is torque and torque is completely dependent on engine size. Horsepower is dependent on RPMs. A mediocre small engine like a 3.6L is simply incapable of stump pulling torque. Superchargers definitely can help, but really if you...
  7. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

Exactly. When I worked with engine dynos for drag racing we'd predict and measure fuel consumption (BSFC) as a gauge for how lean or rich the mixture is for a given power output. Even trying to be as lean as possible those engines drank fuel like crazy. Sometimes we couldn't even jet the carbs...
  8. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

Yeah right I get it. I'm just saying for those that may have some illusions about power adders and gas mileage. Not everyone understands this stuff and Jeep people are seemingly often misguidedly blathering about power and/or fuel efficiency. Mileage and efficiency are not necessarily the...
  9. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

Anything that potentially makes more power will burn more fuel. You can't make power without burning fuel. Superchargers cram more air into the engine for the sole purpose of burning more fuel. Blowers, turbos, nitrous....IT IS ALL ABOUT BURNING MORE FUEL! Top Fuel dragsters have 30 something...
  10. ProCharger Supercharger Kit Installation & First Start-Up on 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

Supercharger and MPG are two things that don't belong together.
  11. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

Yeah but that one guy on the internet said his failed so they must all be shit!
  12. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

Not reading 11 pages of bellyaching... My own two cents....don't care. Turn it on, turn it off, so fucking what? I do find it interesting how many people absolutely lose their shit over something so minor and trivial. It shows how broken we are as a specie.
  13. Modified my KeyFob

As someone who hates keys and goes as minimal as possible, I love this. Well done.
  14. lift, is this everything?

For that kind of money you can do better than a hodge-podge piecemeal kit. Not that there's anything wrong with what you've selected, but much of it is unnecessary if you're just looking for basically a leveling kit. A 2" front level doesn't need all that extra stuff.
  15. Big Bend National Park

The good or bad thing about the Big Bend area is there is NOTHING else out there. It depends on your own personal desires. The little towns surrounding the area are basically ghost towns. So if you're into roughing it or camping it's great. If you're a city-slicker like me and just wanna spend...
  16. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Installed @Metalcloak rear upper control arms to get my pinion angle more in line.
  17. Stolen Hardtop

Oh it was a joke? Okay, hard to tell in this climate. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. 👍
  18. Stolen Hardtop

It wasn't broken. But if you're one of those types and want to play that stupid fucking game.... It was assigned Gulf of Mexico AT BIRTH, so that's what it is. Gulf of Mexico.
  19. Big Bend National Park

Big Bend National Park is beautiful but if you really wanna get gnarly go to Big Bend STATE PARK. That place doesn't have a single paved road.
