I wouldn’t let that be a deterrent. This is my 4th Jeep and I’ve been on Jeep forums for 20+ yrs now and this is the first I’ve ever heard of a situation like this. It being stolen while on the vehicle. Those removable tops are why I'm still on the fence about getting a Gladiator. I'm just starting to look around, and I'm still recovering from the sticker shock at the local dealer. Dumb question but do all Gladiators have the removable tops or is a solid roof available?
It's not so much that it's all that involved of a process, it's more that apparently this one was stolen AFTER someone went through all the trouble of removing the Freedom Panels and then put them back, lol. It's really unnecessary paranoia on my part. The truck would be garaged, and we're at the stage that we don't travel much. From the input above it sounds like a fairly involved process to remove them. thanks
It wasn't broken. But if you're one of those types and want to play that stupid fucking game....Fixed it for ya!
Oh it was a joke? Okay, hard to tell in this climate. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.^^^
Chill out dude..
It *is* annoying, but that's a $15 &15 minute DIY fix.On a side note, My back glass was replaced about 18 months ago and still leaks but now its out of warranty. Seems so simple, why can't they make the back glas not leak?
I have always wondered why there was a lock on the back seats and now it makes sense. The easy thing in case would be to lock the rear seat fold down so they can't access the bolts.
I keep forgetting this feature is there. Same with the console lockI have always wondered why there was a lock on the back seats and now it makes sense.
i secure my firearm behind the locked seat, tethered as well. I miss the lockbox under my driver seat ( i think tuffy i dont recall) in my wrangler.I have always wondered why there was a lock on the back seats and now it makes sense.
They didn’t put the freedom panels back on. They threw them in the bad after scratching the shit out of them. Did some paint damage to the bed with the freedom panels and damaged the tailgate I guess when taking the top. There were personal items stolen from the cab. Probably got spooked before they could go back and get the panels. It's not so much that it's all that involved of a process, it's more that apparently this one was stolen AFTER someone went through all the trouble of removing the Freedom Panels and then put them back, lol.
It really seemed like a cover up story, but with these details, I don't think so anymore. They didn’t put the freedom panels back on. They threw them in the bad after scratching the shit out of them.
