I know in my case the law states 30 days out of service total in 2 years or 24,000 miles. Doesn't have to be consecutive. Question becomes what is considered out of service. Is it the day they first looked at it or the day it was dropped off.

Sometimes the dealer is not good at diagnosis so throws parts at it, or puts it on the back lot. Have you pressured them to contact the regional Tech Advisor with Mopar?

In my case...it is past the point of dealer "diagnosis".... over the past month or so I have had it to the dealer several times for the same problems. This final time, I took it to the dealer on Thurs 3/18 and they have had it since. They along with Jeep determined that it required a new transmission.. The problem is for some reason the dealer cannot get Jeep to provide them with the new transmission to perform the replacement. At first Jeep/Jeep Cares/Customer Care or whatever they call themselves seemed attentive and claimed they were expediting things but as of Wed of last week went silent....in the sense that the only communication I have gotten is my calling them everyday asking for updates only to be tole there were none. They are claiming "backorder" which I find really hard to believe considering they are still pumping out new JTs form the plant that clearly have transmissions =P.

So if we consider the time I started taking the vehicle to the dealer for the problem, I am over 30days.....and now at pushing 2weeks without the vehicle. Definitely might be time to get a lawyer involved me thinks.

Mine has been at dealer since March 5th waiting new transmission. Told me today it got pushed back to April 12th. Greenway won’t even give me nothing to drive. 1100 miles on my Mojave.
Unless you abused the transmission then you are in for a warranty repair and the dealer should give you a loaner. Adding @JeepCares maybe they can do something?

19k miles on mine and have to have a new transmission. Was told they are back ordered and there is no ETA. Mine locked up and wouldn't get out of park. took about 30 minutes to finally get it out of park to roll onto a tow truck but then locked up at dealership and they couldn't get it out of park.

How can you trust your jeep to go off road after this. If I was off main roads with little or no traffic you could be stranded a long time.
SO April 12 will probably just keep getting pushed back? A month sitting at a dealer is way way too long much less for months. Jeep needs to make this right in some way.
I have started looking into lemon law options.

While they seemed to be attentive at first....Jeep Cares/Customer Care has gone silent on me....not responding to emails, etc. No phone calls from them....I call them daily but just get told the standard "...we are working on it" replies.

I really need someone higher up to call and complain too because this is now getting beyond unacceptable. ...but doubt I will find anyone. Perhaps a lawyer getting involved will light a fuse.

ozekii, GladiatorG8R and rafaelsmith, I would be happy to dig into your transmission concerns further.

When you have a moment, if you could each message me privately so I can look in deeper, we can get started. rafaelsmith, if you have a case number, please provide that to me as well. I look forward to your follow-ups!

But sure am glad to be back in the JT compared to rental they gave me. Tomorrow i am gonna go really test out transmission =P
