Absolutley love my gladiator but the only thing that drives me insane is the dam seat belt beep screaming at me. I don't mind wearing my seat belt but just a 5 min drive to the store or down a dirt road ...come on? And on top of that it doesn't stop like most past cars Iv had after 3-4 beeps. It keeps going and going and going.....is there any fix for this? Or setting ? Does it drive you guys nuts to?

I’ve owned 2 different cars over the last 5 years and neither of them stopped beeping. Know what I did to fix it?

Put my damned seatbelt on.

I wear the seat belt. Used to be an EMT; over 50% of accidents happen within a 5 mile radius of your home.
Well then I’ll just move. Fixed!

Awesome post. One less source of noise when your just sitting in your truck. Still dings a few times as a seatbelt reminder but then stops.

Not to be rude but after being a cop for 37 + years, try this to see if you can handle a “short” drive without seatbelt.
1: weigh yourself
2 find something that heavy
3 get a friend to drop that item from the second floor onto you
4 have friend take you to hospital

Your weight is what hit everything without a seat belt.

I have to unbuckle the seat belt to reach into my mailbox, and my driveway is ~1/8 mile long. I do not need a seat belt on to drive down my driveway.
People should be free to decide if they want to use a seatbelt = Darwin Rules.
All this nanny technology is making people dumb.
PS: thanks for posting the video-

I wear my seat belt 100% of the time when I'm driving in Maryland. When I'm up in the mountains of PA on the dirt roads I don't wear it. Not everyone lives in a place where they are driving particularly fast or where there are even other vehicles.

This this this. Are we living in the United States or North Korea? Sometimes it's hard to tell.

For the record, there is a simple procedure to disable the belt chime. Just Google it. It requires ignition on, engine off, wait for seatbelt indicator light to turn off, then buckle/unbuckle 3 times, shut ignition off.
