Jumped in my Gladiator ( 2020 Launch, 40K miles)... push start button, tried to turn over... Tried 2 more times and every light on the dash lit up or errored... telling me I am not in park, when I am in park and havent started it... Says to not stop until reaching destination etc. Looked up to see if battery issue and tried jumping off, nothing. Then disconnected Jeep, same errors and power, then windshield wipers turn on ( werent on) nad lights start flashing... Im like WTF. No clue what to do. Going to wait a few and see if it will reset. Although, last week on a road trip, my axle lock lights started flashing randomly on dash and switch... Anyone know what to do? Dealer is about 40 miles away....

Most likely a battery issue based on past posts just like yours. I have come to the conclusion if my windshield wipers turn on without me actually doing it, my battery is dying.

The Aux Battery will usually go first. Before you recognize what is happening, it will take out your main.

I would do a load test on both first. NAPA should be able to help you test them.

Replace both at the same time. Your main won't last much longer and you will be in the same position if not days, weeks from now.

12.1v doesn't mean bad, just discharged. I suspect the Aux will read about the same. Let them sit isolated for a while and then recheck.

ESS is another item to address. I keep mine off. I do however, look at the Start stop status every now and then. I like to see it say ready pretty quick after starting my drive. Battery charging message being displayed for all or most of a drive is a sign. Ignoring it could leave you in a bad spot.

Replaced Main Battery, started up and cleared... Aux is showing" charging" but has been that way for months. I suspect its draining main. Had my old Main checked, under load it was 4... So a bit of everything is screwed... up and going for now... But damn... Glad i was stranded in North Ga Mnts trout fishing or south Ga.. lol

Glad you got it going. Get that Aux squared away before it has a chance to drag the new Battery down.

When you get home and have time, charge the new battery and the old Aux independently. Reset the ibs. Replacing the Aux is an option, since the main is new. If your battery charging stays on all of the time, I would certainly replace the Aux.

You are out of the basic 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty and unless you have an extended one for it, I would recommend just doing a full Aux Battery delete mod unless you like the start/stop function and want to keep it.
