2020 Jeep Gladiator - Uconnect no updates for 2 years?

Hey there, So I found it odd after owning my RAM for many years and receiving an update or 2 per year that I've NEVER had one for my gladiator in 2 years. I thought maybe because I am in Canada and its over the air or something?

I was at the dealer today and they told me there was 2-3 updates behind. Has anyone seen there the website is wrong saying no updates when there obviously was??

Find a new slant, can't hold them accountable for updating a website in the age of COVID. Not like you can just remotely access the internet from anywhere or something...

In a roundabout way OTA updates prevent the necessity for a customer to bring their vehicle into the dealership with any regularity.

I’ve recieved two OTA UConnect updates for my 2020 JT in the two years I’ve owned it. They dealership has updated a few things but hasn’t updated the UConnect system as far as the maintenance report says.

Haven’t noticed a Navigation update either.

Yes, and my wife and I each got one of those within months of buying our Jeeps. Nothing since, though.

There have been no major changes to the 8.4 Uconnect software. I've received one OTA update that was from a recall to fix the backup camera. If you want the latest 8.4 Uconnect update, you can order a map update. The map update includes a USB stick to update the Uconnect software to the latest revision available.

I have yet to see anybody get a notice from the Uconnect website with the ability to download and USB update on their own.

Someone mention elsewhere that if you update the NAV 8.4 radio in the wrong sequence. , you can either brick the radio or have no Navigation. I think that is why they make it either a dealer visit and or with the bought NAV map update.

Mine was ota....almost 2 years ago. No other updates other than they say there's a nav update for $$

I just purchased the navigation maps update and it was on sale for $99 vs $140 so I went for it, I got the maps update but for my unit it did not come with a software update so must have anything new at this time...2021 glad auto 3.6

I would surely appreciate them updating the icon for the backup cam from the Ram to a Gladiator. How much trouble would that be?

My son is a graphic artist, web developer, etc. (has done work on cars dot com, gannett and so on) and one of his first comments when he first got a Jeep with the uconnect stuff - "it looks like it was created in the 1990s and never updated"

At least you can change the themes and colors - limited choices, but you don't have to stick to default. I changed things to blue to match the truck and the knob/dial covers I have.

My theme came orange.....because Mojave or do they all come orange?

I don't recall since I changed mine quite a while back. I don't recall it being orange, though. You can change it to whatever themes and colors they include.

Yeah, Jeeps on my front and rear icons too. 9/21 build no updates.
