Thank You. I enjoy sharing, although just a condensed version here. My hope is to benefit the community by showing people that they too can get their hands dirty and build things. and enjoy the fulfillment of doing things yourself and saving money while doing it.

Then get ready to install the new brake control module.

If you curse, you'll become activated. If you don't, you're liable to start!

The Mopar-supplied directions were designed by people who only went to pre-school. They are awful. I had to view a YouTube to figure it out. Another bad/impossible part of this modification will be mounting the new control module. I'm not exactly a beginner, but I could not get both bolts installed. I'd say it is borderline impossible. One will suffice since it's a decent mount and the unit is lightweight.
Have fun with this one...

Roger all that

Yes, I am excited to get back down there, but can't decide where to start. At the moment I am thinking of driving to Jellico, TN, then work my way north for 3 days. I think there is a guy with a company who takes folks on 2-4 day KAT tours. Thinking a big drive like that IS NOT a solo. Someone would find my bones a year or two later, while my relatives wonder, "Why doesn't he call?" 8-0
That sounds like a great plan, shouldn't have an issue doing that stretch in 3 days as long as you skip the Western loop in TN. I have heard most of that loop is pavement anyways. We averaged about 100 miles a day on our trip. Definitely do not want to go alone, as depending on the trail conditions and if you try any hard sections, it could get hairy. A guide is personal preference, but as long as you have the latest GPX file from the FB group, it is pretty straightforward to follow.

I did the front and rear and side pillars. I believed it deadened the sound to absolute quiet, also added 35 horsepower and I am now getting 24 mpg!

A. One of the above statements is true
B. Some of the above statements are true
C. All that is a bunch of horse crap!

I suffered a major disappointment when I discovered all my velcro Armee patches would not stick! Man, what a bummer. My "I love me" roof display didn't happen... :-(
Ah, maybe there's hope...Where is the double-sided tape???

After action review: I took the truck on a country road drive and ended with a 70 mph blast down the highway for about 15 miles.

That sound matt stuff did make a difference. The MBRP exhaust combined with the absence of the rear seat and other things served to create a "Tinny" sound which I did not like. Well, that is gone and it is back to sounding like a friendly swarm of bumble-bees!
