You also have an AT, an AT is a more aggressive tire with stiffer rubber that will not ride better than an All-season
I have really big A/T tires. And I had at tires when I bought it. Rides great. But I’m not trying to convince you. That would take too much energy.

But he can build up his post count as he keeps throwing mud at the wall hoping it will stick.

Primary job will be my wife's back and forth work vehicle. Will look into mods and such if we end up with this vehicle, but suspension, wheels and tires already on the gladiator make it nice out the box to start with vs having street tires and having to buy all that stuff first.
Also look at the Mojave, will do just about anything you ask from it in the dirt and has just about the best (arguably of course) street "acumen" of all models.

Lifts CAN have a negative effect on ride quality. There is at least one poster in this thread that says otherwise.
Said poster could’ve had a lift the whole time and not known the difference

You know you can change out tires on any of the Gladiator models, right? You aren't tied to what it came with...

To anyone trying to get something useful from this thread: Don't buy a truck based on the tires it comes with. Buy it because of the features and options it has that you want. Don't like ATs? Don't wear them. It's okay to change the tires out to what you want and like.

If you're really going to say the Mojave or Rubicon or any trim level rides bad because of the tires that come on it, and you need to buy a different trim because of said tires, that's the stupidest thing I've heard in a long long time.
That’s not the argument here, the argument is an all-season will always ride better than an AT which he’s claiming rides great, no AT “rides great”

It’s not, the sport and overland ride much better way less stiff and more cushy

You should try multi-quote.

Who has a stiff Mojave - just run it about 33-34 #'s (cold) for pavement and it is absolutely perfect :) (and at these #'s also rides very nice on many types of dirt roads)! ...The only types of bumps which are sometimes "uncomfortable" to my MO are the very short, very sharp, but small, choppy ones. I attribute that to the high tire pressure specked on the door plate. At 33-34 cold, these little boogers have virtually no impact. Then one can fully appreciate the advanced (for stock) suspension the Mojave brings to the table.

Too much "cushy" sucks too, all things in balance.

Bud, it doesn’t matter if I have 30 psi in the tires, still rides stiff af, I feel literally every bump

Sorry to hear that...I suppose we all like things a little differently. Good to have so many choices though, do you also own the other two models you mentioned?

I traded them off, had a wrangler and then a Rubicon before my Mojave, I need something more streetable, that’s why I’m going overland this time around, prolly should’ve from the start because I do light off roading at most.

Factory selectable lockers and a 4:1 T-case with a warranty. Instant trail super hero. Fantastic highway manners as well. Rubicon for the win,

Love my Gladiator Rubicon with 38's. Tows our new Tab 400 extremely well (3400lbs). 4.5" lift and Fox shocks, stock gears. This is a diesel, so we get about 14 to 15 pulling the trailer and 21 to 22 mpg empty.

I am wondering if the Rubicon is the best option for both small travel trailer hauling and playing on the trails/mud. Thinking about pulling the trigger on a purchase just dont want to find out after, that a different trim would have been a better all around choice. Thanks
Get a Rubicon and you won’t look back. Look at the history behind the development of the Rubicon and you’ll understand why it’s lasted the test of time. Great as is or perfect platform for going with a bigger build down the road. And as far as the Mojave, the big turn off for me was all the aftermarket items I started seeing that don’t fit that trim. I’m sure that will be fixed as time goes on. But things that only fit one trim level tend to die off or cost more. But what do I know …
