Hence I havnt bought a MY21 and still waiting for MY22Seriously!! I’ll never understand that. Buyers remorse is coming their way soon. I’m an impatient person but I would never do that.

Hmm not exactly the same. We’re not talking minor updates on a model year change, that happens to everyone. We’re talking about people changing entire trim levels…losing sway bars, Sasquatch, 2.7L engine and hard tops. I’ve watched people go from a fully loaded 2.7L Badlands to a soft top Big Bend 2.3L just because they wanted their Bronco sooner.Hence I havnt bought a MY21 and still waiting for MY22
I was referring to the money side of it that you mentioned. If I’m dropping that much cash I can wait for exactly what I want. I’m not in a position where I have to buy a vehicle it’s more of a pain b/c I miss having the utility of a truck bed. I’m patient and that’s why I can wait.Hmm not exactly the same. I ordered a 21’ because I needed a car sooner than later and couldn’t really wait. But also because the rumors didn’t seem to have any merit so I was fine losing a few minor upgrades.
Same... I could have purchased a Sport some time ago, but I was waiting for my situation to be right to get the Rubicon I wanted. I almost compromised on the gas motor, but I said, you've waited this long? Just get what you want. I don't mind waiting a little longer to get what I really want.I never understood people that waited years for a Bronco release, spec'd out their 55k+ dream car, then settled for a 45k lower trim model with the base engine just to get it a few months earlier.
The logistics of this is what I am trying to wrap my head around.Jeep pulled a bunch of colors from the JL online configurator sometime last night. Snazzberry, Granite and HellaYella are gone. Gecko went up by $100.
Wondering if the Gladiator is going to follow? Is Jeep starting to cut off options as they wind down 2021 MY? Them pulling these colors could mean they aren't coming back for 2022.
I've got a reservation, awaiting the request to convert to an order, that is expected May 2022 at this point. I may not last that long. I'm leaning towards a Gladiator. The 4xe will push me over the line if they launch it in 2020.Yeah I refused to change my order so I just said F it.
Yeah, I don’t love the 3.6L. With used car prices up I had to take advantage now otherwise I’d never do the deal. I’ve been without a car since mid-August so I really couldn’t wait for anything like that.I've got a reservation, awaiting the request to convert to an order, that is expected May 2022 at this point. The Pentastar is a bit pokey for me. That's what is mostly holding me back from placing an order. Fingers crossed for the 4xe.
With the Bronco I don’t think Ford is releasing a 2.7L tune, only 2.3L. There’s been some discussion on if the transmission can handle a tuned 2.7L. Probably best left alone, Ford actually tuned them higher than their original reports stated. My 14 year old Volvo S80 with 137k is still running like new. So no pressure. Ha.
I just detailed it over the weekend and it feels like a new car. I made me start second guess replacing it. But then my wife and kids weighed in. They want to be driving around doorless this spring.
Its funny, the Jeep / Bronco will primarily be a family fun car.
I drove a Bronco with the 2.7 twin turbo V6 and it was fine. Much torquier than the Pentastar. You can also add a safe 60 hp and 75 ft-lbs of torque to an eco boost with just a tune. That gets you in about the same power and torque range as the 4xe.
I'm thinking at this time that a 4xe gladiator is my perfect vehicle. But if it doesn't come out, I may jut buy a Pentastar and see how I like it. If I really want the 4xe, I can flip the 2022 in a couple of years and probably not get hurt too bad. High resale value is the redeeming value here.
The best thing Jeep ever did for the enthusiast market was add two extra doors. Its funny, the Jeep / Bronco will primarily be a family fun car.
Oh they have an end game. Just not sure it will end like they are hoping. Buy cheaper now. Wait a few years and dump the one they bought for a premium and buy what they really wanted. Some will win. Most will lose.I never understood people that waited years for a Bronco release, spec'd out their 55k+ dream car, then settled for a 45k lower trim model with the base engine just to get it a few months earlier.
I finally submitted my order yesterday. And shocking to myself it was for a soft top. My Gladiator and my past Wrangler were hard tops and I never considered a softy. Flipped the top back during a test drive the other day and I was sold. So easy to operate and to go full open air. Just need to change my habits as to what I keep inside.Yeah I refused to change my order so I just said F it.
