I wanted to test the handling of my Gladiator Ecodiesel with the stock tow package and suspension. On a 45 mile stretch of highway over rolling hills, I crossed three townships with traffic lights and highway speed of might.
1st trip carried a bed loaded pallet of flooring with a weight of 1180 lbs. The suspension gave 3 inches and the jeep handled excellently there was increased road vibration. No delay in starting and no noticeable difference in stopping. Overall fuel reading 20.5 mpg.
2nd trip towed an 15 foot cargo trailer loaded with concrete. Certified scales gave a total weight of 12875 pounds and a tongue weight of 320 pounds. There was no noticeable drop on the vehicle angle. 0-65 was achieved 4 times and it took about three times the normal distance to achieve road speed. Stopping was also about three times greater distance. Overall fuel reading 17 mpg
