What I'm most disappointed about is the radio continuously "forgets" my phone favorites and they have to be reprogrammed, I've given up on it now. The speakers weren't the greatest quality, I replaced with fosgates and have much better sound. The android auto is always saying that when I plug in my phone it doesn't recognize the device. Just all around small things that keep adding up. I had the same system in my 2014 RAM and never had any problems. Speaking with my salesman he said for 2023 it will be the uconnect 5 instead of the 4 that I have and its a completely different system that fixes most of the bugs but unfortunately can't be put into anything but 2023.
my 2023 is uconnect 4. which sucks bc UConnect 5 has wireless AA, I believe. maybe 2024's?

I have the same issues with the 8.4 forgetting my favorites. I've stopped adding them tbh.

As for the speaker quality, it's not a burmester but it's not priced like one either.

As for the "device not recognized" i used to have that problem quite often... until i got paperclip and cleaned the pocket lint out of my UBS-C port on my phone. That was a month ago and it hasn't happened once since.

I was thinking about getting the Uconnect 5 for the heck of it and see if it would work. The harness that it connects to appears to be the same connections with the adapter they provide.

If I could have ordered mine without a stereo all together I would have, I am so disappointed with the "Alpine" stereo mine came with I'm at the point of telling my dealer take your crap out and give me my money back....
Whaaat? I can't hear you over my flapping soft top.

I agree the stereo is not the highest fidelity because of the soft top, but it does sound quite good. I highly recommend trying it at a drive-in theater!

Admittedly I listen to more talk/news and since the fidelity of Sirius is mediocre as is, I think the stereo is sufficient if a little bass heavy. Given the packaging requirements and weatherproofing, Jeep and Alpine did a decent job.
