Website shows Sport S without max tow option? I swore the last order sheet had max tow availability on sport S.
Honestly 2024 Gladiator is looking very weak.

Just notice that even if you build out a Rubicon or Mojave, the floor console stich remains white for the parking brake handle wrap, transfer case and transmission selector boots. That is kind of tacky if that transfers into production vehicles.

Overall, the pricing is stupid as usual.

They've left me out for sure, as expected, when they forced things upward and downward, killing the middle. You can't even get a simple roll-up tonneau cover without being forced into stuff you don't want at all - pay 2 grand for their grossly-over-priced trail rail system just to get a cover? At least the sunrider is cheaper and I could sell that.

So far, no luck finding body color roof - do not want black.

When comparing the difference between a Mojave and Mojave x, it doesn’t mention selec trac at all in either of them.

@12psi

is the order sheet listed up to date?

No body color roof, no body color flares, no tonneau cover without totally unrelated garbage i won't want in the slightest. They have really stripped out the middle. I tried building Rubicon, Willys and Mojave and can't even come close to what I want.
This may truly be the last Gladiator I ever buy LOL
Sorry, can't accept the black stuff and can't see having to buy 2 grand worth of stuff to get a tonneau cover.
I don't see a transfer case choice - what does that mean? No SelecTrac any more?

Apparently offering only black roofs and flares is a big cost savings.
Extremely disappointed and now I see I need to make sure I make this one last as long as possible since it won't be replaceable. Extremely disappointed. They are shooting for the higher-income buyers for sure. Either a stripped model, or a loaded up high end model, nothing else.
come on Jeep - you want to bring others into the fold?

Maybe it is the build configurator but on the base Sport, you cannot select Max Tow package without it lumping in the Trailer Tow and Aux Switch Package with no discount even though most tow stuff is in the Max Tow package already.

I miss the A la carte selection when I built out and ordered my 2020 Rubicon. I played with all the 2024 current configurations and cannot find a value in any of them.

Edit: Looked at the latest 2024 Buyers Ordering Guide and it also forces the Trailer Tow and Aux Switch Package when selecting Max Tow. Basically overpaying for the aux switches by $1k or so.

I thought I'd try building a Sport S - didn't see a max tow option.
Also see no options on transfer case.
If you want body color roof, you have to go up to X and that puts it the same as our loaded JLU 4xe MSRP was - just plain crazy. 70 grand?

I suppose I'm one and done on the Gladiator. I love my current truck, but I can't see replacing it with another one given these selections (or the cost).

I would give it a week or 2 or view the pricing guide. Every year the first week of the build configurator are off by a long shot or offering incorrect pricing/options.

The prices I see so far pretty much match what it was for 23, but now the bundles and increases in MSRP for the base.........
It's more than just pricing - it's the bundling with stuff I absolutely don't want, and to get what used to be an option on lower priced levels is now only available with the X - the top of the line and most expensive.
There's nothing in the middle, even High Altitude is gone (which makes sense since they killed the Overland for 2023 and the HA is an Overland)
It's a crazy mixed up mess, few packages, bigger and more expensive packages to get something simple

Makes me wish I had gone ahead and rushed in and traded for a 23 already - couldn't see or justify that, though, haven't had this one 2 years yet.

Maybe look for a left over '23 for a steal of a deal. I just got a killer deal on a Volvo XC90. Was almost 70k, out the door for $52k.

I added the 10yr/100k warranty and maintenance package that will pay for itself in the first 4 years.

I suppose that's possible with the more complex packages. But at least with something more stock, I'd previously priced out a Mojave using the guide:

Mojave52,995
BLACK 3-PIECE HARD TOP1,595
ANVIL CLEAR COAT595
8-SPD AUTO 850RE2,500
Destination1,895
Total59,580

And that's the exact number the builder spat out.

Hard pill to swallow, but I fear I'll have to. I'm babying a 2002 Dakota on life support, and I don't trust used trucks. Do I play a ginny pig and take a risk on a 1st gen Tacoma? Or hope on the stability of a Gladiator mid-cycle refresh, and that Jeep's piss pour quality control doesn't bite me.

And I'm sure if I do pull the trigger, judging people's reactions, demand is headed toward plummeting, which you'd think will require an eventual price correction. Probably right after I accept delivery.... ugh.
