I truly don’t care what anyone thinks about my Jeep, but I have noticed that a lot of sports have overland wheels on them now. With my overland being debagdged and having black emblems on it, people probably think it’s a sport. Even if they wanted to look inside, my tint is pretty dark. The overland black leather seats do still look really nice.
Frankly, the Overland wheels were my favorite of all Jeep factory wheels on the JT.

I did really like my satin dark grey wheels. Rugged but elegante and good size 18" 7.5w.. I really like my current steel wheels on sport because of the rugged industrial look

https://www.chevrolet.com/american-icon-250-year-anniversary

Anyone notice this ?This gives me "Freedom Edition" vibes, I saw jason Samko post a video about this. I know Jeep,Dodge & Ram will be a part of America 250th.
Jeep should have already announced huge plans - there should be videos and marketing hype and pictures and decals. I mean, we know Chevy used to advertise "See the USA in a Chevrolet" with iconic scenes in the ads and so on, but Jeep - it doesn't get much more USA than that.
Chevy beat them to the punch? Wow.
Jeep is too busy putting decals on things and calling them 'editions' and figuring out their next hood swap to spring on people.

I have a "high tier" one with painted flares, but you know what, some color schemes look better with more black to break up the color, so black fenders or top does not make one "low tier" and i hope they keep it as an option.
Absolutely I agree. I don't necessarily associate NOT having "one or two" of the forementioned features as low budget/tier Rubicons, because as you mentioned, some may prefer that and like the look better. And really in the end it's all about opinion anyways. But for me personally, not having "multiple" creature comforts or features/packages; like leather (which again some may prefer not to have), crappy halogen heads and tails, non painted fenders/hardtop, older models with the small entertainment screens, etc, etc., yet it's supposed to be the "top tier" so to speak... I just can't. IMO if it's going to be top tier, it should have all those features to start, at a slightly lower margin than what it has generally been. Not saying in rare cases people haven't found deals out there at random. But as a whole.

But for example, I paid 49k after everything out the door, tax, etc for my 2020 Overland back in 2021 w/2k miles on it with literally every feature or add on you can imagine. For me to have got a Rubicon or Mojave it would have been an extra $10-12k in my area around that time back then, probably even still now if I really cared to research again. And to add insult to injury, at that price, it still wouldn't have any of the features my Overland has and I use daily. So basically that much more, to have lockers, quick disconnects (Rubicon only) and a smidge higher fenders, yet I'd still be rolling around with cloth seats, dull heads and tails, and plastic fenders. But hey, I'd have that nice "RUBICON" sticker on the hood. lol. So just imagine the cost to add all the same packages and features I speak of on a Rubicon. We're talking probably an extra $15-18K more than what I paid. That's the margins I speak of. Even if I had it like that, I'd have a hard time justifying that price.

So again, for the VALUE the Overland/new SAHARA is arguably the best value off the lot for many people whether they even realize it or not. Not saying all. But ALOT. And it took a few years to realize it, but Jeep finally did which is not ironic why it was the only standard trim to be discontinued for awhile until things could be re-marketed.

YES! 100% agree. I stayed with my stock Overland wheels for about two years and got rid of the rental car looking Dueler tires that came on there for new 35s early on. That's part of the reason why even now after getting aftermarket wheels, I stayed with an 18inch wheel since those tires are still good.

Older pics, since a lot has changed since then but the Overland wheel on a bigger tire was so nice for stock.

how are those tires on this setup? They look and flow great on your truck. Been thinking about dullers ascents but still looking around.

The Duelers that came stock on the Overland, I got rid of almost immediately. Like within the first 4 months of owning it. Not cause they were bad. In all actuality the ride has always been great with them and even now after lift, etc. But They just weren't beefy enough and looked definitely like a street tire. Obviously wasn't the look I wanted.

So I went with my Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs which I still have currently even after finally parting ways with the stock Overland wheel and going aftermarket. 60k mile warranty and I'm only about 40k into since it's not my daily. Super quiet, etc. Honestly, I'd probably buy again if not Mickey Thompson Baja Boss in the future when these run out.

That's another thing I liked about them - it was easy to find tires, but bigger tires didn't look like an over-inflated balloon on the 18" wheels. I swear - some of those big fat tires would look a lot better proportionately if the wheels were a tad bigger.
I don't like the tundra tire look, I guess.

Facts! Not sure why so many people sleep on 18's. Don't get me wrong, 17's don't look bad on a 35 or even a 37 at most. But bigger than a 37, you probably should go to a bigger size wheel like an 18.... With that said, I'd never go over an 18 personally regardless of the tire size. Never been a fan of 20's on any Jeep. But I know exactly what you mean. Theres got to be a good meat-to-wheel ratio. lol.

My current wheel with same tires as mentioned. I'm pretty content staying with 35s though mainly cause of the 3.73 Overland gears which is the only downfall the Overland has IMO. I really don't want to regear. So, I've intentionally stayed with 35s. But in a perfect world I'd gone with 37s on my 18's.
