'21 JTRD factory brake pads composition?

Got 86k on the original brake pads and they're about ready to get changed out.
I'm real happy with the life that I've gotten out of the original pads.
Does anyone here have the formula, lol? Had exceptional results with aftermarket pads, or even OEM replacement pads?

OEM pads are Ceramic and made by Akebono. I would say Akebono aftermarket or PowerStop Z23 Evolution pads would be my first choice.

Doing just a pad slap or also changing out for new rotors? If going for both pads and rotors, once again recommend the PowerStop Z23 complete kit.

Not a diesel, but I just rotated my tires with 75K on my Willys. I have had front and rear pads under my back seat so I am ready to change when needed. At 75K miles, my original from new pads arent even half worn. I am amazed at the stock pads and will likely just buy those and use them instead of the aftermarket ones I already bought. I dont think I have ever had pads on any vehicle last as long as these have. Wife drives a 20 year old Toyota Sequoia with 300K miles on it and it seems like I change her pads every 2 years. Much heavier vehicle.

I too have had really great success with the Jeep OEM pads. Even on my '99 TJ, I had about 100k on them when it was finally time to get new ones (about 10 years ago). The local shop I use a lot told me that they use pads that cost about half the price but I wanted the original OEM stuff. In the end, they cost me about $50 more but in my mind, well worth it. I have 135k on the TJ now and they show minimal wear and will be on it when I sell it soon.

I am glad I am not the only one! I have a complete set of PowerStop Z36 ready to install and I am at 78000. I thought it was odd, though I do a lot of my drive without stop and go traffic.
