Hi, have a '21 hydro blue had corrosion on tailgate all doors an hood an 1 hinge.

Take in in for clutch recall ( kayser cdjr Sauk) early December an they send pics to kayser collision Ford (Madison).
Fast forward drop off Feb 12.. get call day later saying order 4 new doors an tailgate. Keep checking on progress in meantime..usual we working on it...
They call March 6 basically 3weeks say it's done..I stop in the March 7 to PU. Just a quick walk around I can clearly tell it's not correct shade of blue an not even a good job. (Multiple people approved that job). I refuse an leave for them to repaint. Check in early Tuesday...get call Friday March 14 go PU been 1MO @ this point...paint looks better on doors.. tailgate somewhat... Now the issue.

No 4wd sticker on tailgate, missing trim piece on passenger side door handle. Scratches on new door frame paint. Runs several doors inside, guess supposed to be rubber plugs on 2 front doors (screw holes)?? Crappy paint work on edge of hood. Painted all door screws blue, passenger door trim not on correctly.
The seam sealer on bottom inside of doors looks kinda sloppy.. guessing thats factory job?
Big one, all 4 doors have gaps in door seal frame an door body...air just blows on thru noticed that on drive home. On hinge has a rough finish..ground off corrosion an repainted.
Overall not happy at all. Contacted @JeepCares an og cdjr dealer. Got the feeling from collision shop manager he doesn't care anymore...has a attitude.
Sorry for the long rant.

Did they leave money for you to find?
Seriously, you're probably going to have a hard go unless you work up the chain at the dealership. Definitely a poor job and unfinished. Probably shouldn't have taken it home as you have accepted the work.

Yeah that’s a piss poor job, but if you signed the repair order you may be SOL. Best bet may to be to try another dealer and see if they can help you get it right.

Those repairs and repaint looks terrible. I'm sorry you are fixing to go through a very stressful experience if you want it fixed correctly.

I just had my vehicle redone for corrosion issues and the dealership did a great job - hood, four doors, tailgate, and all hinges replaced with new parts and paint matched correctly. It looks like your dealer did a sh** job and they need to make it right or I would take them to court for diminishing the value of the vehicle.

Looks like they painted over a lot of trash.

Basically if I am reading correctly, Stellantis gave whatever they were going to give for the repaint to your local CDJR dealer and then they subbed it out to the Ford dealer and am betting they took their cut off the top and short changed the Ford body shop even that much more.

I would be pissed also, but you are going to have to fight to get it corrected. I would contemplate either living with it or cutting losses and dumping it at Carmax or similar.

Damn. I think I've seen better work come out of a high school shop class.

The Ford dealer is under the same ownership as the Jeep dealer.

Nice, glad ya got quality work!..not the norm.
They did a poor job..that gap above the door seal they should of noticed that! Idk that's a factory issue on jeep doors when made?

That’s unfortunate, I had the dealership look at my hood which was starting to bubble around the seam and they warranty replaced the hood, all 4 doors and all the hinges and it looks stellar. Was an 8k touch up at no cost to me. I wouldn’t sign off on anything until it is complete to your standards and looks perfect. As others have said, it’s all in the shop that does the work. Everything is relative…… don’t settle for sub par.

Hey, sorry haven't updated. Jeep is back in shop.
Glad ya had good repair experience!
Sounds like I had a shoddy work done then!
On your lower doors does the sill seam look same as before. What mine looks like, said its factory
I'll post pics what I'm talking about.

Apologies for the slow reply. I would personally escalate that to upper management at your dealership or maybe even to Jeep Corporate. I’m not sure what exactly the warranty specifies. As far as I’m concerned if there is a rust issue inside the seams of any of those panels it is almost impossible to remove it all and get to a point where you could possibly stop the rust from returning, hence the full replacement of all my doors and hood based on my panels. That’s usually a problem with prep during the manufacturing process. I would escalate it further up the chain of command. Hope you get an acceptable resolve.
