This is the first in a "ground level" video review of the Rubicon Jeep trail. This was the week before Jeeps big event, and it was the first time doing the trail for all of us. camping there and back... and two nights on the trail. There will be several videos showing the trail, and damages that happened. I think it will be helpful for you to see what the trail is like for your average "bolt on kit" gladiators and how they do loaded with camping equipment and tools... etc. The first video shows a lot of the spotting going on, other videos will show different challenges. I hope this helps people understand what they are in for setting out on this trail!

I admittedly have watched yet, but I'm interested. Do you go over lift and specs of each vehicle? If not could you list them? Thanks.

I will go over everything and the damages during the series.... Its just a lot of stuff so I'll be doing the videos 30-40 min at a time.

I'd suggest under 30 minutes. Maybe closer to 20ish. I have a hard time watching most vids for too much longer than that.
Currently watching the one above on the TV.
I'd still like to hear the specs on the rigs sooner rather than later.

Edit:
Maybe add your specs to your signature here, or in the description of the YouTube video.

That answers the question... Do you really need front lockers on a Mojave X?

That was not for the faint of heart... I have the wrong Gladiator for that trip... holly cow!

Yeah, I too want to learn what each of those Gladiators had , in terms of modifications.

Really enjoyed the video. Subscribed for the rest...

Yeah that’s no walk in the park. Been in my bucket of things to do for a couple decades now. I’ll get there one of these days.

I was so happy when the white JLUR finally found the 4-low position,

Glad you had fun, Your video cemented the idea that I will never set rubber on that trail. I would have suck started one of my guns waiting the 1.5 hrs for some group with a stock Bronco to get through. I can have traffic jams and all the undesirable company I need right here in town. I'll NEVER be on a trail with "traffic". Way too many pretty places to visit where no other humans will go to get a trail badge.

Great video hope you have some shots going through the trees leading up to the turn on Cadillac hill and the 90* turn at the bottom .

To my understanding, if you can get in there closer to midweek you’ll have an easier time avoiding crowds. It has a following being a thing Jeep used to trail rate so it’s going to be busy.

Even in Montana finding 3 other jeeps on a trail is not uncommon. The fact that they seemed like they were not aware that they were slow was the hard part. We took 5 through in 20 min. We got in front of them! We had encounters with about 5 or 6 groups over three days... most were 3 to 5 in the group. Honestly not very crowded at all- we started on a Monday around noon and got out on a Wed. around 2pm.
