I had the 315 70 17 on mine with no rubbing. Here is picture of them installed before the lift went on. Road around for 3 days with it like this and at full turn both ways didn't experience any rubbing.
Yea your post is my incentive to do 315s on my stock 7.5 in wheels like the black of my stock wheels

You said earlier in this thread, and your pictures show, that you trimmed your front bumper. Without that trimming you would have rubbed. I don't see how people can say these fit a stock Sport, they do not.

I did trim a little off the bottom, a small about half inch section you couldn't even see. Other than that they fit. I was planning on removing that section anyway. I was referring to them not rubbing on control arms or things like that, was just assuming people already knew about the small section in the front.

I also got a Max tow which has wider axles than a normal sport so keep that in mind as well

Wow imagine that, I thought I could of fit them without rubbing but trimmed mine to be on the safe side because I was planning on replacing the front bumper anyway. Almost seemed like someone was calling me out in a earlier post, maybe not;) The Jeep looks great by the way:like:

I’m running the Kumho Road Venture M/T KL71 tires. They’re directional, but they balance great, are quiet, smooth riding, long tread wear, and great on-road performance. They really are hard to beat for the price. I got mine from @Discount Tire here on the forum. Been using them for over 10 years. They’ll work with you to get you the best price possible. :like:

Here’s a couple pics of them on my JTR...

After seeing your Jeep again in this picture, I might order the striker brush bar for my rugged ridge bumper I just installed. Love how those tires look to:like:

Thanks man! You should try them when you jump to 37’s. They make the 37x13.50r__ in all different wheel sizes. :like:

Go for it! A brush guard makes a world of difference in how these Jeeps look. Did you ever get a chance to talk with Greg about the skid plates for the JTR with the Stubby?

I did but we didn't go to much further into it after he started calling out prices. I got a guy about 10 minutes up the road from me that's going to Fab up some brush guards for the rear tail lights for me for around $300 and I was going to see what kind of price he would do one for. I ended up picking up a Rubicon skid for now, $50 locally.

Hey guys, I just wanted to post a few pics of my Gladiator build. It's a sport with the Max Tow package. I went with Moto Metal rims that are 17 x 8 with 6.062" backspacing and 40mm of offset. The tires are Continental Terrain Contact A/T's size 315/70-17. There is zero scrub radius with this combination and the tires tuck inside of the fenders with no lift. You can see how much clearance I have with this combo. I set the Jeep up this way primarily for on road and beach driving . Everything works fine and at 40psi the truck rides great.

I keep seeing your gladiator and I'm starting to get the urge to run some 315 70 17 mastercraft mxts
Not a bad thing, the MasterCraft 37 12.5 17 MXTs are on my short list when these Goodyear's wear out. They are light so that's a good thing and I have only heard greats things from people locally that run them.

I definitely recommend them, I've been running them on the last few trucks I've had. My last set i had just under 58k miles on them and probably had another 10k in them if my control arms hadn't gone bad in the middle of a road trip!

Just loud enough to remind you they're mud tires, and they handle everything from the snow to the thick indiana clay mud!

Wondering about those hideous plastic pieces going from the fender to the bumper. My Sport S Ecodiesel didn't have them. Probably would have been my first mod. Rip em out. :giggle:
