I did a search, and found some posts, but none mentioned anything about rubbing, and/or running spacers with 285/70r17's on stock rims. I have a 1.5" spacer leveling kit on the front by Teraflex, and JKS quick disconnects. Thats the extent of my suspension mods for now. I don't wanna get into the whole regearing thing, so 33's are the biggest I'm gonna go. Besides, I like to tow my bass boat on the weekends, so don't wanna lose any tow capacity. Will I have issues with tire rub on stock rims? Should I get wheel spacers? This is for a 2025 High Tide.

So….. I’m not familiar with the High Tide …but what size are your wheels & tires now?
A quick google search says you might hae 32’s

To put things into perspective…. I have a 2024 Mojave with 33’s from factory.

High Tides do not have the wide axles (I don't believe) - so you could have some minor rubbing on the front air dam when turning. You can trim that. You can put the 33s on and then add spacers after the fact if you end up deciding they'll help with some clearances.

I had 285s on my sport from the factory. It was totally fine.

High Tides have the Willys suspension and wheels. Willys Wranglers come with 285/70r17 from the factory so I think it will be fine. I plan to make the change myself. The Firestone MTs are to loud.

I have a '23 Willys set up similarly to yours. I added the TF 1.5" spacer lift, TF's 2" front shock extensions, and to restore the caster, the front lower control arms from the Mopar 2" lift

First thing I did, literally the morning after I took delivery, was to get rid of the wretched 32" BFG KM2s that were OEM and switched to 285/70/R17 BFG KO2s. There's no rubbing anywhere. I used JSCAN to reset the tire size and recalibrate the speedometer.

As an aside, I had those KM2's on my '09 JK for a short time. It was by far the worst tire I've ever run. I was amazed they were still in production by 2023.

my JT Willys came from the factory with 255/75s on 7-1/2" wheels, as clearly indicated on the window sticker.

I had a ‘22 Overland with a 1.75” leveling kit and I was running 34x11.5” with zero rubbing even while energetically off roading in the desert (not significantly rock crawling though) so 33” should not be an issue.

ps. I did it on factory wheels

We have 35's on our High Tide and have zero Rubbing, we did do a 2" AEV spacer lift but still runs/rides perfectly

Those wheels offset way more than stock would also be helping that lack of rubbing 😄

Cool truck!

I have a 2020 with Falkens that measure out at about 33-1/2" with no rub lock to lock. IDK about the High Tide, but I have a JTR with slightly wider axles than Sports and Overlands.

She’s a Red Heeler’s. My wife named her Gracie. I call her the Kraken… 🤣
Better picture…. 45 lbs or pure hell and decidedly smarter than most people I know. She has actually run off a black bear when I lived in the mountains.

I take her to the middle of nowhere and she’s never been on a leash in the wild. Only where required by law.
