These need to be balanced evey 1,000 miles or so. Prob 15k on them. They start to wobble over bumps, get balanced, they settle down.

New shocks, recently aligned. Rotated pretty recently. Cant think of anything else that would cause this other than bad tires.

Thoughts?

Are you losing tire weights? Mine get chunked pretty bad from wheeling and off road driving.
I'm assuming you rotate them on time and all that.

I missed a rotation at one point because I wasn't paying attention but it shouldn't cause this.

I was running through the woods pretty well last weekend I guess something may have fallen off, but all the times they needed to be rebalanced beforehand had nothing to do with off-roading.

Personally I feel that nitto is off their game on their tires lately. If your rotating and balancing every 1,000 miles there’s some major issue going on regardless.

you need to get them warranties out imo

Is it all the tires, or just some of them?
It’s not unheard of for the belts to be slipping inside the tire casing.

This report is killin me....I wanted to upgrade to those tires when the "Stones wore out....I want their 35 x 11.5r17 to allow stock wheel use, and they are a load range C, figured they would ride pretty good compared to all the LR E's out there, plus a little lighter.

Not rotating every 1000. But they need a rebalance.

Im gonna get in there this week and will report exactly what they do

Mine have been great . Never had that issue. Currently have 43,xxx miles and still plenty of tread left and wearing evenly. My biggest issue is they get small cracks in them

10K miles on mine and not a problem. Rotate/balance them with every oil change, and check air pressure every month or so and not a problem so far.

Going out on a limb here.. but are the tires spinning in the wheels? I’ve seen this happen just a couple of times, and it was surprising to say the least. Next time they are balanced, make a mark (like you’d do on a torqued bolt) between the tire and wheel and drive as you normally do. Check them periodically for movement.

Bringing back an old thread, but this has happened to me before. I was trying to track down why I kept getting vibrations at certain speeds and discovered the tires were slipping on the wheel when aired down off road (10-12 psi on trails).

The other problem I was having was a balancing issue with one tire that was eventually replaced under warranty after the third time I returned for rebalance. Last pic shows the old tire with over 6 oz of balancing weights.
