I’ve got a gladiator rubicon currently in stock setup and not trying to add a lift or spacers. But I am looking to go toyo 35x11.5x17. Anyone running this size on stock rubicon? Any rubbing or other issues before biting the bullet?

DO IT! I regret getting the 12.5's over the 11.5's. I'm in a Mojave but not much difference, with your rim width and back spacing that is the perfect tire :)

I just put on some 315/70/17, 12.5 wide, on some XR rims. Poke out about 1.5" or so. Wish I had gone with the 11.5.

Do you think I would experience any rubbing at full turn/flex?

Here there are on a sport s max tow with Rubi front springs and 3/4" spacer. With the higher fender flares on the Rubicon you won't have any issues. I'm a big fan of the 11.5 wide!

A couple of options less than 11” wide.

Left: Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT - 255/85R17 (35x10x17) mounted on stock Mojave wheels 7.5” (?) wide wheels.

Right; Kenda Klever R/T -
35x10.5x17 mounted on 8.5” wide 0 offset wheels.

Did you run both of these tires? I love the Baja Bosses and didn't realize they had this size. It might be perfect for when I get a new set of tires

Not yet. Had them mounted just last weekend. They’re about to go on as a dedicated winter set. Just waiting for some 1” wheel spacers, so they are not so tucked.

Got it, well they look great. I'd be interested to hear what you think of them compared to the Kenda's after you get a chance to run them for a little while.

I run the 255/85R17 Baja Boss ATs on my JK. I came from 255/80R17 BFG KM2s. I have wheeled them fairly hard a few times now and I am very impressed with them. I haven't had them in deep mud, so I can't comment on that, but this past weekend on VT trails with plenty of wet areas and steep rocky & rooty climbs, they hooked up really well at about 19-20 psi. Water holes with soft-ish bottoms weren't any problem either. They are also very quiet on the highway and are wayyyy better on wet roads than my old KM2s.

Awesome. I bet they'll be great in snow too. These tires just look incredible but they really seem to be a great all around tire as well. I've been mulling over the 295/70r17 size but I think I like this 255/85r17 option better for what I do which is mainly sticking to greens and easier blues, and trying not to go too deep in the mud

@jac04, thank you for posting up your initial impressions on the Baja Boss AT tires. It sounds like you picked a good tire to fit your needs.
