I am in the market for some new tires, and am looking for some suggestions from those with more experience than I...

I am running 37 inch Patagonias right now. They are loud, dont grip worth a damn in the rain, and seem pretty far off from being true to size. To be fair though, I bought them used, and they were worn from use. I'm exploring 38's to get the height I actually want, and at the same time, hunting for actual 37's that I might like. And for those that went 37 -> 38, did you notice much of a performance difference?

If you are passionate about your 37's or 38's, please share your opinion on them so I can check them out. Thank you!

Thanks for the input! Those both look like great options...do you find them to be true to the 37inch title?

Anyone have opinions on R/Ts?

I ran the Nitto Trail Grapplers in 38x12.50R17's and loved them. Can't comment on 37's, blew right by em. On the Cooper 40's now, the 38's ran soooo much better. Don't get me wrong I love the clearance on the bigger tires but for everyday the 38's on the 4.5" lift was a damn good setup. I see a lot of guys doing 38's on the 2.5 or 3.5 lift with fender chops. But I was super happy with the 4.5, no rubbing or fender chop on 38's.

Very happy with my 37x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Very smooth ride at 30 psi, quiet, took very little weight to balance. They do run about an inch shorter than advertised at 30 psi but on a light weight gladiator 50 psi to get full height will ride like a buckboard. All tire manufacturers us the most optimistic size for advertising when in reality most won’t ever see it on their rig.

I second these. They’re amazing on everything. Rock, sand, snow, rain, they do exceptionally well. They measure 36.5 without the truck weight. 36 even on the ground. So they’re bigger 37’s than many out there.
