I am late to the show in realizing the 392 wranglers come with CV front shafts. Anyone have a part number?

Do the awd/selectrack (whatever it’s called- the Non 4high 4low….) jeeps come with these axle shafts as well?

Curious to see a side by side comparison of these shafts by Mojave/rubicon shafts. Is this an OEM+ upgrade?? ?

Good question; you can order after market chromoly cv shafts, but I don’t know about the Mopar ones. Heck, I would be curious to find out if the 392 wrangler comes with the same HD wide Dana 44 that’s on the Rubi/Mojave Glaiators.

All 4 auto equipped JLs/JTs come with the cv shafts (they have 4 HI and 4LO by the way and are not awd either). I don't think they are any stronger than the u joint shafts.
Good point. The RCV ones claim to be twice as strong as the OEM Dana 44 u-joint counterparts, bolt on, and eliminate cow hop. So, if you were to get CV ( or RCV ), it would seem that you would be better to spend your $$$ on something that would increase strength ... then again, those u-joints are designed to be the weak spot, so that you don't destroy something that's more expensive. Also, I think those CV/RCV joints need more maintenance, and sling grease.

I like the idea of eliminating the cow hop, and if I planned on wheeling a 37s ( or bigger ), I might consider the RCV axles as a way to get there ... with an atlas t-case of course. ;-) For the places that I've been, the OEM setup has taken me places that have been sketchy enough, for now, I’ll treat it like that Sam Hunt song, I plan on taking it slow just as fast as I can.
