Okay so I downloaded the JSCAN app,
Now for use electronic dummies explain how you use the 2 items . If a Bluetooth reader is already in the obII port whats with the cable .
Guess maybe I should do some checking threads .
connecting to the OEOBDII is read only. You have to unplug it from behind (yes it's a pain in the a$$) once bypassed and you've downloaded the jscan app create an account and log in. The App will search for Bluetooth devices connect and ask if you wan to register you VIN. Pay the $20 they you will have full access to the onboard computer and diagnostics.

In a nutshell

Here is one video.

they also sell extender cables you can put in so the connection/disconnect is easier to get to.

I know that's what everyine says , but to tell you this I am sure I will see backlash . Let's see the data , let's see a study, let's see as many teeth stripped off a 4.10 or 4.5y pinion as a 5.13 pinion. Show that to me so I can have a different opinion.
IMHO - it's not so much "weaker teeth" as "more critical setup".

As stated - the pinion gear does get smaller as the ratio reduces. Because of this, pinion depth and backlash become much more critical. At stock or close to stock ratios, the backlash is pretty forgiving. So long as you're "close" - you'll be fine. At 5:1 ratios you've got to be pretty spot on.

I believe that this is the source of the old adage that lower ratios make weaker teeth.
