I do watch the gauge and I am just being overly concerned. . I don't get any dimming of the lights
I really notice it during on of my wait weeks it's was in -13 wind chill s

I am just being overly concerned on the voltage since I run alot equipment and will sometimes idle for weeks

No to the dimming lights never had a problem just concerned about it . Not really a fan of the system chatting with a buddy about deleting the regulator but I don't think I will unless need to I am gonna add a solar charger to the system just to be on the safe side
I have a feeling that if you idle for weeks you won’t make a million miles. You need an hour meter for maintenance if you idle a lot.

I keep a eye on my mileage and the oil gauge does count idle so that helps

Ok folks it's time for a post. I am at 49,130 miles here are my points of interest

Sport s.
Tow package
7.5 screen
Auto start
Aux switch control

First off the soft top sucks don't bother
( Getting the hard top through the FCA for $1300 )

Sec I run alot of extras on my electrical system
I am having a voltage drop we are still messing with it we have replaced the pcm ( under warranty )
We replaced the a voltage regulator on the battery system ( still dropping to my low of 12.5 )
So I added a second battery yesterday and is holding will driving at 12.8 -12.7 (would like it higher )

I am on my 4th windshield ( mostly due to me driving 25 feet behind semi trailer all day )

The Bluetooth with my phone ( Google pixel 3 )gives me trouble the best way is to start the jeep wait for the Bluetooth to connect then plug phone in

I have busted the breakaway mirror ( damn tree )

The aluminum body is great to help with millage but doesn't do well for body hits but easy to bash back into place ( kinda )

The seats are still comfy. I sit in them 12 -16 hours a day

I do oil changes every 6500 miles and use the m.o.a. bg additive

Rotate tires at every oil change
Still love it will buy another one

Really waiting on prices to fall on the bumpers and hopefully getting the rsi canopy system in June when it comes out
Nice post, what’s the secret to getting a hardtop for $1300??

What sucks about the soft top?
The fabric isn't tight enough so after a little while it stretchs out and creates a very loud vibration

Do you have the Max Tow package? Sounds like you're a prime candidate for the big 240 amp alternator.

I've also seen guys disconnect the Hall Effect sensor on the negative battery cable to prevent the ECU from allowing voltage to stay at minimum charge for saving fuel. Disconnecting that sensor should allow the battery to charge normally like the older vehicles did. However, I've only done it on a F-150. Never tried it on the Gladiator myself.
