7 way Plug runs camper running lights only

7 way Plug only runs running lights with lights in ON position(Not Auto), no brake or signal lights. person i bought the camper from connected his Chevy Colorado and the camper lights worked fine. Am I missing something, amp/xformer?

Use a test light at the trailer connector on the jeep. Confirm you have power there at all of the connections. If the Jeep connector has power then confirm that the trailer wire is correctly wired. Google search will tell which wire goes in what position. Guessing the trailer wiring is incorrect.

Unfortunately, there are two or three, “Standard,” wiring configurations. Check to make sure the camper connector is wired the same as the Jeep.
Also, be sure you’ve got a good ground through the connector.
