I’m totally stock. 7k miles.

Recently, I’ve noticed a strange sound it’s low, and I can feel it through the brake pedal and my seat/steering wheel more than I can actually audibly hear it. Passengers can also hear it but they also confirm it’s faint.

when braking, usually fairly hard braking when surprised by a sudden red light. I can feel a clunk clunk through the brake pedal. I can also feel it through the steering wheel. It’s not every time either, it seems like once the vehicle runs for a while it stops.

should I be concerned?

Climb under there and check all the bolts on your calipers. You may have lost caliper bolt and the caliper is loose and banging around inside wheel. The factory doesn't put any locktite on the bolts, so it known for some to work their way out.

Same. Let me know if you track down the cause. Something is just loose I'm sure but havnt had much time to check.

check for pedestrians stuck under the JT as the " surprised by a sudden red light " (do they not have amber lights before the red where you live?) might have meant that you didn't see someone crossing at the crosswalk....jk, hope you figure it out....to the OP and everyone else that reads this...this was a joke and is only meant to inject some humor, do not take offence

by sudden, I mean our highway has a 70mph speed limit and also is riddled with traffic lights. It’s a stupid design that results in you having to stand on the brakes when you see one throw up a yellow light. Not to mention the yellow lights are generally under 3 seconds.

Plus, a crosswalk? You mean them fancy things that have stop lights for people? Ha! City folk are funny ?

My wifes car (not a Jeep) was doing the same thing but it was noticeable at slow speed braking also. Took it in under warranty and it was a loose bolt that would allow the calipers to rotate just enough when brakes were applied to cause a clunking noise.

I know we are funny folk, anyway it seems like city/ county planners are all missing the point and making sure that what they design can actually be implemented and followed. We have a traffic circle in my city that is so tight in the entrance/ exits, that there are some vehicles that constantly have to ride the curb just to make it through......fancy folk with their edumication.......lol....best of luck finding and fixing the issue

some may call it a round about

Jeep Gladiator 7k miles, getting a strange “clunk clunk” sound/feeling when stopping. images

It is supposed to allow free flow of traffic from intersecting roadways, but often causes confusion if you do not know how to enter/ exit (using signal lights) a lot of people miss the last part....this is just in case you are not joking in asking what a traffic circle is, if you are joking I thought the picture was a good one.

There are countless YouTube video's of people not knowing how to use them and causing accidents

ughhhhh that’s those things I see when I go to the beach that I don’t know what to do with, and wonder why the hell there isn’t just a dang 4 way stop sign.

They are SO much better at letting traffic flow than stop signs or traffic lights. Should be used much more than they are, but they take more space.

maybe, they scare me though. Every time I see one on my GPS if I can take a side road to avoid going through it, I do.

They are no big deal, vehicles in the circle have the right of way, use your blinker when exiting.

No different than pulling out into a street that has a bend in it, or turning off a street with cars waiting to merge.
