94R to 95R Conversion

Anyone tried fitting the 95R in the battery tray? Looks like it needs about 3 more inches length wise and all other dimensions are the same. Huge increase in reserve capacity 37% and AH 25%. Would be much more economical than dual battery kit.

Looking at the space in my diesel I dont think the H9 would fit however the H8 is only 1.5" longer, it may squeeze in and still retain 90% of the upgraded specs!

The H7(94R) is the upgraded battery. The default for the JL/JT is the H6. Measure very carefully before trying to put a larger battery in. It should have a little bit of clearance on all four sides.

Anyone have a recommendation on a good upgraded main batt? Going to delete the stupid aux batt soon and figured I would upgrade the main since it will be the only battery and its 3 years old. Just started looking….any other options out there? Am I looking at the correct size/group?

Get a 94R Interstate battery from Costco, or try Duracell from Sam's Club. They come with a three year replacement warranty. There's also one on Amazon for $160 from ACDelco. It's listed as from USA with a three year warranty. I would find the least expensive with the best warranty, just make sure it's an AGM battery.
