I'm curious as to how long/if others have seen the current "accent color" trend that's going on in the Jeep world. Maybe it's just in my area, maybe not. Turn back the clock 4 years when I bought my JKU, I would occasionally see a Wrangler or two where a distinct decision was made to pick a bright color (what I have heard being called an "accent color") for mild exterior contrast, but in my area now, it's everywhere I look on Wranglers and Gladiators. And I'm not talking about the owners that pick a complimenting wheel color, or something like that; I'm talking about people that paint their radio antennas, window moldings (no kidding, that's the newest I have seen), wiper arms, grills, mirrors, door handles, hitch receiver, etc. a very contrasting color such as hot pink, bright purple, any neon color, etc. It's almost like a local trend where painting random things IS the mod, as opposed to aftermarket mods. Many times, their exterior and suspension is bone stock. As a matter of fact, I spoke with a lady looking to buy a JL who told me, "I already know what my accent color will be" even though she hadn't found one, nor did she know what color she was going to buy. Not bad mouthing or knocking it at all- everyone likes what they like and I am not here to judge, but I'm curious to see if other geographic areas are seeing the same thing. I almost feel like I didn't get a memo that went out..... I've seen it on a few random trucks too, but nowhere near the level of fellow Jeepers. Anyone else seeing the same? I've been involved in the hotrod/custom world for the last 20 years or so, and it hasn't happened there, yet. Just curious.
It’s a long-running trend and unfortunately only getting worse. I can’t help but call it the Civicizing of Jeeps.

This is what I was referencing by “accent colors” that I see frequently. No offense at all if you are the owner, I just wanted to get a pic of what I was referencing by the post. Just curious to see if this is common all over the place, or just my area. Mainly see it with Wranglers and JTs, and seems like a current trend.

Yea...every time i hear someone picked out a wheel because they haven't seen it on anyone elses truck I can't help but think there's a reason for that. Everyone has their taste and is welcome to it, its your truck, but a "clean look" is very subjective

I have a yellow Factor 55 Flatline and two yellow bow shackles on the front of my Gladiator. I chose yellow because it's a bright color that would be easier to see if I drop it in the mud, but I also like the yellow accent on the front end. So it was kind of a win-win for me. If yellow wasn't a hi-vis color that is easier to see when dirty, I would have just used black.

I love the combo! Something you don’t see everyday. I have to know, is your jeep vinyl wrapped? It almost looks like granite with a matte clear wrap. I love it!
