I was looking to add a fuse block to my 2021 Gladiator Sport S. Any suggestions as to where to mount? Engine bay, in cabin????

I was thinking behind the back seat on passenger side.

I think it really depends on what you are looking to add to the vehicle.

If you are adding a fridge and other accessories inside the cabin, the back seat might make sense, but if you are looking to add lights having to run those wires into the cabin and then all the way to the back seat would probably be annoying.

You are obviously going to have wires running into the cabin for switches of course but it seems like extra work to put the fuse panel (and relays probably) in the back.

Personally I'd probably do a panel under the hood for lights, winch, compressor etc and maybe a small one under the passenger seat or even behind the glove box.

If all you are adding inside is something like a gmrs radio you could just tap off the 12 volt port in the dash with something like this cable:

I think ultimately it really depends on what you are adding and how you want to control it.

I agree - it depends on what you want to do. I’ll add if you want to add exterior lights or accessories look into an Spod or Aux-Switch setup. The switches are prewired and you bring all your accessories to the added fuse block. I wanted bed power, so I ran 1 large wire to a fuse panel in the bed. I’ll be doing a write up and photos soon on this project.

You should mount it as close to the anticipated loads as possible. Then you pull 1 set of wires for the long haul.

For example if you are going to be putting a bunch of stuff in the bed, like a compressor, fridge, lights, etc, the n put the fuse block in the bed.

I learned this first hand when I renovated my house. Based on recommendations from an electrician friend I wired the house with multiple sub-panels. That way there was less pulling of wire and if I had a nuisance trip the panel was closer.

As initially mentioned, it depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. I personally chose to add mine to the engine bay as my purpose of adding a fuse block to my JTR (which has the factory AUX switches) was to clean up the rats nest of wires already in there. The best solution for me was a PowerTray along with their accessory bundle (although I replaced the terminal block with a fuse block). It has the added benefit of allowing a better location to place my Cascadia MPPT (where the Switch-Pro is meant to sit).

Thanks to everyone for their advice. After some research, behind the backseat is out. I'm looking to mount two of the following blocks.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HDZVW3P?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

The idea of one being constant power with the other being switched power from an ignition source. I'm going to be adding heated seats, Alpine amp and sub. With the idea of having head room for other devices in the future. I'm thinking now that behind the glove box will be the best spot.

The idea being having a single fused cable coming off the battery into the cabin to supply power to both panels. The second panel being switched from an ignition source.
