Coming from Rubi i missed rubi smatbar swaybar disco more than the front lockers. And I did not find anyone doing it on JT/JL forum. And its not always fun to manually disconnect & reconnect.
So here we go, it can be done & this is how we can add Rubicon Smartbar Swaybar to Mojave with OE controls.
Parts:
JTR/JLR smartbar swaybar
Off-road switch with swaybar button 68359089AA
mopar 8-way connector kit 68490924AA
Programmer of choice JScan/Taser/AlfaOBD etc.
Steps:
Assemble the mopar 8-way connector
http://connectors.dcctools.com/details.htm?id=283845
Tap corresponding ends to XY291A male connector.
http://connectors.dcctools.com/details.htm?id=284329
Enable sway bar function from programmer
& off you go off-roading.
Adding front lockers would be my next project even though i don’t really need them, i’ve got the front locker harness, all i need is OE or spicer elockers, it shouldn’t be much, just drill, plug, assemble & play.
The rubi shock brackets are smaller then mojave & i want to keep cast iron knuckles, so axle swap may not be the best option so thinking of just sourcing the locker assembly. If i can get my hands on’em then will be trying it one of these days.
