Coming from Rubi i missed rubi smatbar swaybar disco more than the front lockers. And I did not find anyone doing it on JT/JL forum. And its not always fun to manually disconnect & reconnect.

So here we go, it can be done & this is how we can add Rubicon Smartbar Swaybar to Mojave with OE controls.

Parts:
JTR/JLR smartbar swaybar
Off-road switch with swaybar button 68359089AA
mopar 8-way connector kit 68490924AA
Programmer of choice JScan/Taser/AlfaOBD etc.

Steps:
Assemble the mopar 8-way connector

Adding front lockers would be my next project even though i don’t really need them, i’ve got the front locker harness, all i need is OE or spicer elockers, it shouldn’t be much, just drill, plug, assemble & play.

The rubi shock brackets are smaller then mojave & i want to keep cast iron knuckles, so axle swap may not be the best option so thinking of just sourcing the locker assembly. If i can get my hands on’em then will be trying it one of these days.

I could be wrong, but what about an axle from a diesel Rubicon. Don't those have the cast iron knuckles?

Well I just happen to have both a JLURD, wife's, and a JTRD, mine, sitting in the driveway. I'll try to remember to climb under and check both once it quits snowing/raining so much.

The non cast iron knuckles are cast aluminum, correct?

Just went and stuck a magnet to the knuckles, my 22JTRD has cast iron axle Cs and outer knuckles. My 21JLURD has cast iron axle Cs but not outer knuckles.
If you scored a JL axle you could always add the JT outers.

I finished up this project this weekend and it looks like it was really as easy as splicing in a few wires. The hardest part was making sure I ordered the correct Rubicon button module.

Question: did you ever run down the connections to add the Rubicon locker to the mix? I have also sourced a rubicon front locker, axles, and power cable. I just need to figure out where they tap into the system at and I'm ready to try it.

Any hints?

@Astephan1284
here is the JTR wiring harness for front locker to work with off road switch it connects under the driver side brake booster behind the fender liners and routes to axle pumpkin. (one mojave has is spedo sensor wire only this will replace that.
this should be plug n play if you have a JTR front axle.
I don’t have one so i haven’t added to my truck yet.
